Building on his talk at the Resurgence One Earth, One Humanity, One Future conference,

Fritjof Capra explains new scientific evidence supporting the long- held superstition of
Buddhist and others that humans are interconnected and part of nature. After that, the theme
of the gathering was to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the launch of Resurgence, that has
been conveyed by poets, philosophers and spiritual leaders throughout the ages.

In this article, there are some theory that existed. One of the theory is system thinking.
Systems thinking can be described as the process of understanding how things influence
one another within a whole. It aims to solve problems by viewing them as part of an
overall system, as opposed to reacting to specific parts, outcomes or events. Systems
thinking is not one thing but a set of habits or practices within a framework that bases
itself on the belief that the component parts of a system can best be understood in the
context of relationships with each other and with other systems, rather than in isolation
(Senge,2000).

For example, in this article, the systems view of life because it involves a new kind of
thinking, thinking in terms of relationships, patterns and context. In science, this way of
thinking is known as systems thinking, or systemic thinking. Thinking in terms of
relationships is crucial for ecology, because ecology are derived from the Greek oikos,
meaning household is the science of the relationships among various members of the
Earth Household. Next, One of the most important insights of the systemic understanding
of life is the recognition that networks are the basic pattern of organisation of all living
systems. Ecosystems are understood in terms of food webs for example, networks of
organisms. Organisms are networks of cells, organs and organ systems; and cells are
networks of molecules. After that, following Descartes, scientists and philosophers
continued to think of the mind as some intangible entity and were unable to imagine how
this thinking thing is related to the body. The decisive advance of the systems view of
life has been to abandon the Cartesian view of mind as a thing, and to realise that mind
and consciousness are not things, but processes.

Another theory is global reporting initiative, enables organisations to measure and report
their economic, environmental, social and governance performance (Senge,2000) In this
article, The self-organising activity of living systems, at all levels of life, is mental
activity. The interactions of a living organism which is plant, animal or human and with
its environment are cognitive interactions. Thus life and cognition are inseparably
connected. Mind or, more accurately, mental activity is immanent in matter at all levels
of life. For the first time, we have a scientific theory that unifies mind, matter and life.
Besides that, the article state that it is becoming more and more evident that none of these
problems which is energy, environment, climate change, economic inequality, violence
and war that can be understood in isolation. They are systemic problems, which means
that they are all interconnected and interdependent.
