SUBJECT : 2016 BATANG PINOY NATIONAL SPORTS COMPETITION

In line with the commitment of the Commission to develop and promote sports through encouraging
sports programs to foster self-discipline, teamwork, and excellence for the development of a healthy
citizenry, we are set to hold the 2016 BATANG PINOY NATIONAL SPORTS COMPETITION on 27
November to 2 December 2016 at the city of Tagum, province of Davao del Norte.

Batang Pinoy is the national competition program for children 17 years old and below. The program
encourages all local government executives to invest in the development of sports within their
respective areas. It also aims to widen the base to select potential athletes for future national and
international sports competitions, primarily the quadrennial Youth Olympic Games.

For this event, the Commission shall grant a sponsorship subsidy amounting to Three Thousand Pesos
(P3,000) per athlete, on a first-come, first-served basis.
