B- Fluid Replacement:
C- Potassium Replacement:
D- Hemodialysis:
- The role of hemodialysis in the treatment of DKA is controversial and has not
been systematically studied in ESRD patients.
- Severe pulmonary edema and hyperkalemia are two main indications for acute
hemodialysis in DKA.
- Emergent dialysis in patients with DKA without clear indications can cause rapid
decrease of serum tonicity, which can present a potential concern for neurological
complications in ESRD patients.
