Examination Sequence
Procedures for patient info registration through image confirmation are detailed below.
As described in the chapter 2, there are several choices of initial screen, image format and exam order registration.
Examination sequence for each combination of these choices is described below.
As for the image format, because the operation is the same whether it is single-image or four-image format, a single-
image format is taken as an example in the following explanation.
When the system is configured to receive the patient info from upstream HOST in
the network, the patient info will be automatically displayed when it is received, thus
it is not necessary to manually input them.

Troubleshooting
8 Remedies for typical troubles and error messages
displayed on the CS-2 are described in this
chapter.
Trouble with JM
When a backup JM is available, switching the standard JM to the backup JM when an error occurs on the standard JM
will help minimize the downtime of the system. Switching the JM to the other can be managed by one of the CS-2s. In
this case, it is not necessary to restart the CS-2, but it is necessary to restart the REGIUS MODEL 170/190.
Following is the procedure how to switch from the standard JM on which an error has occurred to the backup JM. An
error occurred on the CS-2 disables the REGIUS MODEL 170/190. from performing an examination. Therefore,
switching to the other JM is essential when such trouble happens..
Switch over between standard and backup JMs should be implemented only under the
condition where all REGIUS 170/190s and consoles connected to the system have been
turned on.
When the switch over to the backup JM is completed, a following message will be
displayed on the other CS-2s connected to the same network.
Touching the [YES] to close the message window.
It may take approx. 1 min to switch over to the backup JM.
Examination by the REGIUS MODEL 170/190 is enabled
After switching the standard JM to the backup JM, report to your technical represen-
tative without delay.
If the screen does not change, keep pressing the power button till the power for the CS-
2 Control Unit is turned off.
If the phenomena that the CS-2 often rejects inputs becomes eminent, contact your
technical representative.
Reaction to the problem when the CS-2 is started up with a floppy disk inserted in the drive.
Attempting to start up the CS-2 with a floppy disk inserted in the floppy disk drive
(A:) will display a message "Remove disk or other media. Press any key to restart".
Remove the floppy disk, and press any key to start the CS-2.
Error List
Error messages displayed on the CS-2 and remedies to be practiced are described below.

Implementing the stitching process will abort examination conditions (image pro-
cessing, print format, overlay) that have been set before the stitching process.
Examination conditions for the composite image will be applied to the images once
treated in stitching process.
Stitching process cannot be applied to the images on the Consoles referred to from outside.
Order List
Orders before stitching and after stitching are listed in the
form of buttons.
Touching the order button will select itself and change its
frame to green.
One order will be added to the list for the image that has
been composited by stitching.
Maximum 9 orders will be displayed in the list. For more
than 10 orders, scroll the list using the scroll button.
[Add/Reset] Button
While the order is being selected, touch the [Add]
button (blue, right arrow) to register the selected order
(green frame) for composite image (stitching). Touch
the [Reset] button (purple, left arrow) to cancel the
registration of the selected order (green frame) from
registration for composite image (stitching).
When the order in the order list, created by stitching is being selected, [Add] button
(blue, right arrow) will not appear.
[Exit] Button
Returns to the Exam Check screen after terminating
the stitching process.
In the case where the screen is switched from the Exam Check screen to
the Composite Image Select screen, and joint borders of the composite
image that has been output are corrected using the [Rebuild] button, resulted
composite image will not be registered in the output queue even returning to
the Exam Check screen after completing modification. This happens
because the image is recognized as already printed. To output such order,
first exit or suspend the examination, then perform output using the Image
Reference screen invoked from the Exam History screen.
Stitching process is not completed only by registering the multiple orders for
the display of composite image. It will be stitched and become effective when
the [Build] button is touched and the Composite Image Adjust screen is
displayed.
[Rotate] Button
Touching this button will rotate the image. Lower image
in the Whole Stitched Images will be rotated. There is
a limit for rotation, and rotation along the arrow
direction beyond this limit is not possible.

Tiling at Border : Divides the image at the borders of the plates. In this way of
output, stitch borders tend to be less represented in comparison
to Tiling by Film Size.
(With this process, the image is always positioned in the center)
Tiling by Film Size : Divides the image to fit to the output film size. In this way of
output, film sheets to be output may be less than the sheets for
Tiling at Border.
On the CS-2 that is set to Tiling at Border, [Trim Adjust] button becomes invalid
when the divided image is smaller than the film size. [Trim Adjust] button becomes
valid when the divided image is larger than the film size.
On the CS-2 that is set to Tiling at Border, a message Unable to tile due to
insufficient film size. Switches to Tiling by Film Size will be displayed when
the longer side of the film (h2 in the diagram) is shorter than the distance
between the borders (h1 in the diagram), and the output is made by using
Tiling by Film Size.
