Assessment Feedback / Referral Action Plan:

(Only one further opportunity will be given for submission of work that has been deemed unsatisfactory at the time of assessment)
Well done Mason. Youve had a successful first seven weeks, showing development in your skills, methods and the production process.

Your Weebly portfolio is well-presented and well-organised. The portfolio evidences the different creative media methods and production
skills youve developed whilst completing this section of the course. Creative, technical and personal developments are reflected on and it is
clear to see how contextual learning during research phases has enabled you to develop and produce projects.

Unit 1

In your animation work you have demonstrated how you have used creative ideation tools that feed off research to inspire your productions.
You have used mood boards, mind mapping and storyboards to develop ideas and reflected on how group discussions and meetings
helped you adapt your own ideas or helped you build upon the ideas of others. Initially your creative planning tools were quite simple or
bare but as you have progressed through the first half term you have shown greater engagement with these ideation methods.

In your graphics and digital art work you have shown an ability to develop ideas for products. In addition to this you demonstrate basic
ability to de-code connotative meanings (understand the hidden meanings i.e. use of colour) in examples such as typography. From this
knowledge you have been able to plan and develop your own products that communicate information to their audience. There is however a
fair amount of room for improvement in your analysis skills.

Your weekly reflective tasks shows some consideration of success and issues encountered however there is much room for more detailed
breakdowns of your methods and processes and how you could work more successfully in the future. Your final evaluation does well to
identify effectiveness and usefulness of your planning and pre-production methods in allowing you to successfully complete projects. This
information also demonstrates that you have been able to develop your skills and abilities. You use some good examples throughout to
help explain points. Furthermore you have identified areas for improvement and put forward ideas on how you can improve or develop in
future projects.

Unit 2

You have shown competency in using both physical equipment and specialist software to successfully realise projects. Through
experimental application you have applied a range of production processes evidenced through documents and your work during pre-
production, production and post-production. In your evaluative write up you have compared these techniques and explained the successes
and difficulties you have had utilising them.

During production you have shown a satisfactory ability at using production processes to help you achieve positive outcomes in your
projects. A wide range of skills is demonstrated through your portfolio of animations, graphics and digital art.
Your weekly reflective tasks shows some consideration of success and issues encountered however there is much room for more detailed
breakdowns of your methods and processes and how you could work more successfully in the future in regards to your production skills. In
your final write up you make clear statements on the way you have developed and how processes and skills have helped you in individual
projects as well in the subject overall. You use good examples to demonstrate these developments.

Developmental Points (How can I improve?)

Spend more time on your ideation stages making detailed mood boards, mind maps and storyboards with necessary
annotations.
Add extra detail to review/reflective handouts explaining in detail what you did, how it went, your successes and your
areas for improvements.
Add more reflective writing to tasks discussing the processes you went through to plan and develop your ideas as well as
discussing in depth your design choices.
Take extra care and time to complete production work, revisiting aspects when necessary. Dont rush to complete tasks.
