What is a CV?

Its a brief account of somebodys


previous career, usually submitted
with an application for a job.
How to write a CV?
It should be typed, kept brief and to the point and its
information should be presented under clear headings.
Make reference to:
PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION: full name, address,
phone number, birth date, age, nationality, marital status
EDUCATION: schools attended (with relevant dates) and
qualifications (with relevant grades)
WORK EXPERIENCE: jobs done, including any holiday
or part-time work
SKILLS: any relevant abilities (secretarial, artistic, driving,
scientific, business, mechanical, linguistic languages
spoken, etc)
INTERESTS: preferential activities, including any posts of
responsibility in school, clubs, local societies, etc
REFERENCES: names, addresses and job titles of 2/3
people who can vouch for the applicant, excluding any
family members (a former employer, teacher, etc)
