Cisco dCloud
Requirements
The table below outlines the requirements for this preconfigured demonstration.
dCloud: The Cisco Demo Cloud
Table 1. Requirements
Required Optional
Mobile device, such as an Apple iPhone or iPad or Android Smartphone Router, registered and configured for Cisco dCloud. (For
Laptop with Cisco AnyConnect VPN and the following Video capable endpoints: on premise devices if not using Jabber)
NOTE: A Router is recommended if you want to register physical endpoints to Unified CM as your on-prem devices, instead of
using Jabber on the workstations. It can also connect to Unified CM to upgrade endpoints to firmware that supports registering to
Cisco Spark. If endpoints have the correct firmware and are registered to Spark, then an endpoint router is not required, just a
connection to the internet for each device.
Communication needs to be agile. Mobile. Collaborative. All thanks to mobile devices and evolving innovations in infrastructure
and applications. The Cisco Spark service makes instant communications and live meetings possible through a deeply integrated
set of industry leading communications tools for an unmatched collaboration experiencethat only the Cisco cloud can deliver.
Meetings: Bring together to create, communicate and collaborate in a one continuous work stream before, during, and after the
meeting so teams can be even more effective, across any mobile or video device. Invite others to join meetings from their desk, a
branch office, at home, or on the road.
Messaging: The ability to exchange messages and share files with another person or a group of people. Message anyone.
Choose someone from your company directory or simply enter anyones email address and start messaging customers, partners,
anyone you need to work with.
dCloud: The Cisco Demo Cloud
Calling: Cisco Spark includes a cloud-based phone system. With Cisco Spark, you can make calls to any other Cisco Spark user
in any company via SIP dialing, as well as calling regular landline and mobile phones via the PSTN. You can make and receive
calls from a phone connected to the Cisco Spark service in the office or from the Cisco Spark app on your mobile phone or
desktop.
Perhaps you have already made the move to IP telephony or deployed a cloud based service and want to expand your capabilities
even further. Cisco Spark will take your communications to the next level by providing the benefits of a complete business
collaboration service for everyone in your company: one service, one experience, for everyone.
Figure 2. Deliver One Service and One Experience for Every Employee
Use the Cisco Spark whiteboard capability from any device, whether you are together with your team or apart
For meeting rooms, the Cisco Spark Board is a presentation screen, a digital whiteboard, and a video conferencing
system connected to the Cisco Spark service
Anyone in any meeting or team space can participate with you and help the creative process
Increase team agility and rapid response from the start of a project to its completion:
Hold more effective meetings with sync-ups, discussions, and preparation ahead of time
Get access to content and discussion threads during meetings
Review, follow up, and take quick, informed action after meetings
Focus IT resources to move them from being a cost center to a platform for innovation and growth
Improve company culture by working smarter from anywhere and connecting and engaging employees
Meet business demands by working faster and smarter, controlling costs, and maximizing resources
The way we work is changing. People are more interdependent, working not just with others in the office but with people globally,
both within and outside their own company. Workers are more mobile and are under increased pressure to be more productive to
keep the business ahead of the competition. The right collaboration tools are important to facilitate success, but they can be
difficult and expensive to keep up.
For many organizations, using the cloud to deliver Unified Communications services is not only a simple and efficient delivery
option, it is also one that frees up IT resources to allow you to focus on your core business. Cisco Spark is an app-centric cloud-
based service that provides a complete collaboration suite. Teams can create, meet, message, call, whiteboard, and share,
regardless of whether they are together or apart. This happens in one continuous work stream, before, during, and after meetings.
Cisco Spark is a simple, secure, complete, and open space for people to work better. The core capabilities of Cisco Spark are
meetings, messaging, and calling. Cisco Spark is a great way for companies to access Unified Communications services with no
infrastructure investment and low monthly usage fees that can easily scale for growth.
Many companies have already invested in Cisco Unified Communications solutions, such as Cisco Unified Communications
Manager, Cisco Business Edition 6000 and 7000, or Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution (HCS) for IP telephony and Cisco
Jabber for instant messaging, presence, and mobile calling. These companies want to ensure a continued return on their
investment. For these customers, the question becomes, How can I include cloud-based meetings and messaging services such
as file sharing and digital white boarding in Cisco Spark, yet ensure that the final solution delivers a single, integrated user
experience to my employees?
Cisco Spark Hybrid Services make this possible by linking your diverse on-premises assets to Cisco Spark in the cloud. These on-
premises assets include the Cisco call control solutions listed above, as well as Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory.
Cisco Spark Hybrid Services let you easily add the meetings and messaging capabilities of Cisco Spark to your existing Cisco
Unified Communications deployment. The following services are available today:
Call Service: Call Service connects Cisco call control with the Cisco Spark cloud for a single, integrated user experience. There
are two core capabilities in Call Service:
1. Call Service Aware makes Cisco Spark aware of all calls across your Unified Communications system, thus
dCloud: enabling
The a Cloud
Cisco Demo
variety of capabilities. First is zero-touch meetings, which allow two Cisco Spark users who call each other to instantly share
their desktops without the need to set up a formal meeting. After the call is connected, their one-to-one Cisco Spark Message
room is moved to the top of their room list within the application. If they do not have a one-to-one room, Cisco Spark instantly
creates one. Either way, both users simply press a button to share their desktop when the call is connected. Call Service
Aware also allows Cisco Spark to display your call history on any device you use, creating a singular integrated experience.
2. Call Service Connect connects Cisco Spark with Cisco Unified Communications Manager so they work together. As part of
this service, Cisco Spark can be used as a mobile soft client for voice and video calling and shares an extension with your
Cisco desk phone. You can answer calls on your desk phone or the Cisco Spark app, and use the app to make and receive
calls as if you were in the office. Best of all, you can use Cisco Spark, Cisco Jabber, or your desk phone to call without
worrying about which option you or the other person is using. Note that Call Service Connect requires Call Service Aware.
Hybrid Media Service: Provides a local instance of media processing for Cisco Spark Meetings on the customer premises. It
lowers latency for better user experiences and also provides saving on Internet bandwidth requirements and costs.
Directory Service: Connects Active Directory to Cisco Spark Message and Meeting. It enables a user to see and add company
contacts to their Cisco Spark spaces and click to call or message. It also offers a simple administrative process that automatically
and securely extends enterprise directory contacts to the cloud and keeps them in sync for accuracy and consistency.
Calendar Service: This hybrid service connects Microsoft Exchange 2010, 2013, 2016 and Office 365, (including hybrid Exchange
deployments) to Cisco Spark, making it easier to schedule and join meetings, especially when mobile. Users can:
3. Add @Spark to an Outlook meeting invite to automatically create a Cisco Spark space where all meeting invitees can share
information and documents before, during, and after the meeting.
4. Add @WebEx to an Outlook meeting invite to automatically share the hosts Cisco WebEx personal room and include
meeting-join information in the invitation.
Each of these hybrid services performs a different integration role, so customers can use the ones they want. It is not necessary to
implement them all. In addition, the Directory Service and Calendar Service have no Cisco call control dependency, they can be
used to extend network services to Cisco Spark users even if the customer has a third-party Unified Communications solution.
Topology
This demonstration includes several server virtual machines. Most of the servers are fully configurable using the administrative
level account. Administrative account details are included in the steps where relevant and in the server details table.

Get Started
BEFORE DEMONSTRATING
We strongly recommend that you go through this process at least once, before presenting in front of a live audience. This will
allow you to become familiar with the structure of the document and the demonstration.
Follow the steps below to schedule your demonstration and configure your demonstration environment.
NOTE: It may take up to 45 minutes for your session to become active. However, before using the session, verify an email with
the subject line of THE SPARK DEMO SETUP IS COMPLETE is in Charles Hollands email account. This will ensure all cloud
services setup scripts have run.
3. Install and access Cisco AnyConnect on your laptop, using the AnyConnect credentials in the dCloud UI. [Show Me How]
5. If you are connected to the demonstration from behind a router, please continue to the next step. If you are connecting directly
to the session from a stand-alone laptop or other device, install and access Cisco AnyConnect on your laptop, using the
AnyConnect credentials in the Cisco dCloud UI. [Show Me How]
Recommended method: Use Cisco AnyConnect [Show Me How] and local laptop RDP client.
Windows Users: It is recommended to use some version of Remote Desktop Manager to save the connections to each
virtual machine. An example of a manager is Microsofts Remote Desktop Connection Manager, which can be found at
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=44989.
Mac Users: Microsoft Remote Desktop (MRD) [ ] or CoRD [ ] applications are recommended to connect to the
virtual machines. MRD can be downloaded for free from the Mac App Store. CoRD can be downloaded free at
http://cord.sourceforge.net/. Each application gives you the capability to save the connections for each virtual machine.
6. The demonstration requires your 7800/8800 phones to have Phone OS v11.0.1+. If in a proctored environment, your proctor
should have installed the correct firmware on your phone. Use http://upgrade.cisco.com/ to help in the upgrade process.
7. The room device will also require vCE8.1+ firmware. If you need to update the room device you can download the .pkg file
from cisco.com and upgrade the device directly. Use http://upgrade.cisco.com/ to help in the upgrade process.
8. After confirming the devices have the correct firmware, perform a factory reset on each device before starting.
9. For best results, use either the Firefox or Chrome web browsers.
10. This demonstration uses Cisco Jabber to show Cisco Spark hybrid services. You can also attach a dCloud router and self-
provision any physical phone to demonstrate hybrid services.
11. Each users password should have been set to dCloud123! using an in-demo script at startup. Certain issues may arise,
causing the email to not be sent to a user. If this is the case, then these users will have to manually reset their password. This
is shown in Appendix A. Optionally, you can setup Single Sign-on (SSO) if you do not want to use Sparks basic
authentication. The procedures to enable SSO are shown in Appendix B.
12. dCloud Spark Demo Bot: To make registration of devices faster and easier we have a dCloud Spark Demo Bot to
accompany this demo. This bot will create device codes for Kellie and Taylors 7800/8800 endpoints as well as create codes
for two room devices. If you would like to get your devices registered quickly, complete the following:
Start a 1:1 space with the dCloud Spark Demo bot by searching for dcloud_spark_demo@sparkbot.io.
Once the space is created send a message and you will receive a welcome message along with instructions.
Before creating device codes, verify you received the THE SPARK DEMO SETUP IS COMPLETE email in Charles
Hollands mailbox as shown in the Demonstration Pre-Configuration section.
To create your device codes type /devices domain where domain is the domain you obtained in step 13.
If you would like to just generate a code for a room device type /rd domain,rd_name
NOTE: With the bot One Button To Push (OBTP) will be configured to each room device using the same Exchange room mailbox
email address (sparkrd@(cb or collabedge-)XXX.dc-YY.com. The meeting notification will only display on the first device
configured with the bot. If you are only configuring one device then there is nothing more to do other than register your device with
the code given to you by the bot. However, if you would like more devices configured for OBTP you will need to create a new room
mailbox in Exchange with a unique room name and alias and update the Spark room device with the new alias. Below are the
steps to create a second or more room device with OBTP. Again, these steps are only needed if you want more than one device
configured for OBTP. If not then you can skip these steps.
1. Create a remote connection to the Exchange server (198.18.133.1) using dcloud\administrator / C1sco12345 as the
credientials.
2. Open the Exchange Management Shell using the icon on the taskbar .
3. At the [PS] prompt enter the commands below. Dont forget to update the domain with the one assigned to your session and
replace New Room/newroom with ones of your choosing.
4. Next you will need to go back to Spark Control Hub and update the room device with the new email address.
5. After logging in, go to Places and select the room device you would like to update. If you havent created a second one or
dCloud: The Cisco Demo Cloud
more, create one now with the bot.
7. Click the link at the bottom that read then try entering a different email address.
8. Enter the new alias part of the email address you created earlier and click Save.
13. In order to run this demonstration, you will need the Collaboration Edge domain information from the Session Details tab on
your dCloud session page. Each session has a unique domain. The image below is only an example. Do not use the
information in the image for your session. Take note of this information now, so you can refer to it throughout the guide. Note
that in dCloud there are two domain formats that could be used: collabedge-XXX.dc-YY.com or cbXXX.dc-YY.com.
Demonstration Pre-Configuration
dCloud: The Cisco Demo Cloud
This content requires pre-configuration before using hybrid capabilities. If this is the first time you are using this demonstration, it
could take an estimated 10-15 minutes to complete all of the pre-configuration steps. After some practice, the setup time could go
down to 3-5 minutes. Depending on what you would like to show, not all of the steps are needed, which could mean a shorter
setup time. Read the introduction to each section and it will give you options to make setup quicker. Go through the full demo
setup once to get a feel for what is provided. Once you go through it, you then can decide what to configure for the next time.
1. If not already connected, use Cisco AnyConnect to VPN into your session. The login credentials are provided on the session
details tab within the dCloud session webpage.
1. Create a remote desktop connection to Workstation 1 (198.18.1.36) and log in as dcloud\cholland with Password:
C1sco12345.
2. During this RDP session, you will receive a pop-up to synchronize LDAP. Wait approximately 15-20 seconds for this pop-up to
appear and then click the OK button. This will ensure the demonstration is setup correctly. Once completed, continue the
demonstration.
5. You should see a few emails in the inbox from the automatic setup. Verify there is an email with the subject of THE SPARK
DEMO SETUP IS COMPLETE before continuing. This will ensure all cloud services setup scripts have run.
6. You can ignore the rest of the messages for now and minimize Outlook.
In the next two sections, you will configure your Spark organization for hybrid services. This includes the calendar and call (aware
dCloud: The Cisco Demo Cloud
and connect) services. If you do not want to demonstrate hybrid services then you can skip this section and the next, Configure
On-Premise Devices Using Auto Configuration Script. If you do not want to demonstrate any hybrid services, then your session
pre-configuration is complete and you can continue on with the guide. If you are skipping the hybrid services part, then take note
there is another demonstration in dCloud that only demonstrates Spark cloud services. That demonstration will be active after 10
minutes and be 99% configured for you. This might be a better option for you in the future.
This script will setup the initial configuration in the portal for hybrid services.
3. After the script ends, open Chrome and using the menus, navigate to Cisco Collaboration Cloud/Spark Links >
Collaboration Cloud Management Portal.
5. Scroll to the bottom of the Terms of Services and then click Accept.
12. Check the box for I want Cisco to manage the Expressway CA certificates required for this trust.
14. On the next screen, check the box next to Allow Access to Your Expressway and then click Continue.
In a few moments, you will return to the Expressway and three Hybrid Services connectors will download and install. These
connectors are Management, Calendar, and Call Connector. dCloud: The Cisco Demo Cloud
Wait a few minutes until the screen looks similar to the one below. The Management Connector should be running and the other
two connectors should read Not Configured.
15. If the connector status looks as in the image above, then you may minimize the browser for verification later. Proceed to the
next section.
Configure On-Premise Devices Using Auto Configuration Script (Optional but mandatory if you configured hybrid
services above)
After the three connectors install, you can use the pre-built script, located on Workstation 1s desktop, to finish the demonstrations
hybrid services pre-configuration. All of the configuration steps that the script completes for you are located in Appendix C for
reference.
1. After verifying the connectors have all installed as shown below, minimize the Chrome browser. Depending on your setup it
should match the screenshot shown below.
2. Open the Spark folder on the desktop (if not open already) and double click the on-prem_config_start.bat file to start auto
configuration.
The script will now open Internet Explorer and go through the configuration steps to complete the demonstration pre-configuration.
Drag the command window over to the side to view the configurations in Internet Explorer. Do not press any key until told to do so
in the command window.
dCloud: The Cisco Demo Cloud
Eventually the script will pause and ask you to complete two steps manually.
3. In Internet Explorer, enter dCloud123! into the Password box displayed on the screen.
6. After the page refreshes, change the Cisco Spark Remote Device Configuration Type to Automatic.
7. After completing those two steps, click back into the command window and press any key twice.
After a few more seconds, the script will finish and close both windows. You may continue when the script finishes.
8. In Chrome, the connector status should look like the image below.
Lastly, you will configure Charles and Anita for hybrid services using the final script.
10. Go back to the Spark folder and run the setup_hybrid_users.bat file.
11. After the script finishes, you can close the Spark folder window.
NOTE: If you would like to quickly generate device codes, use the dCloud Spark Demo bot as mentioned in the Getting Started
Section. If you use the bot you can skip the manual device code generation steps in Scenario 1 and 2.
The following users already have Spark message, meeting, and call configured:

VALUE PROPOSITION:
Simplify meeting scheduling, even from mobile devices, with Cisco Spark Calendar Service.
As workers become more dependent on mobile technology, many want to use their mobile phones to schedule meetings.
Unfortunately, built-in mobile calendar applications do not allow plugins. Consequently, when inviting meeting participants from a
mobile app, there is no easy way to send them information on how to join a Cisco Spark or Cisco WebEx meeting.
At the same time, using Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) is difficult and forces people to manually copy and paste the joining
information into OWA. This problem is so significant, many people do not even try. They wait until they get to the office, or use their
laptops to schedule meetings.
Cisco Spark Hybrid Calendar Service overcomes these issues. It makes it easy for you to schedule meetings and create Cisco
Spark rooms automatically, from any device, no matter where you are.
For users with Cisco Spark basic meeting capabilities, adding @Spark to a Microsoft Outlook invitation location field automatically
creates a Cisco Spark room for the invitees. The team can begin the conversation and share documents and ideas before the
meeting even starts.
In addition, those with a Cisco Spark advanced meeting subscription can add @WebEx to the location field of an Outlook
invitation. This automatically populates the body of the invitation with the information on how to join the Cisco WebEx meeting. And
by adding @Spark and @WebEx to the location field, you can achieve both results noted above.
Cisco Spark Hybrid Calendar service gives you all these capabilities without requiring plugins or manual copying and pasting of the
joining information. By simply adding this text to a meeting invitation, you can schedule meetings from anywhere on any device,
including OWA and any mobile device that supports Microsoft Exchange.
The Hybrid Calendar service can be deployed on its own or together with any of the other Cisco Spark Hybrid Services. To
facilitate these services, a software application or connector must be deployed and run on your premises or in the Cisco Hosted
Collaboration Solution partner cloud. The Hybrid Calendar Service connector requires Cisco Expressway.
There are no incremental subscriptions or fees for deploying this or any of the Cisco Spark Hybrid Services. The Hybrid Service
Connectors and Cisco Expressway are downloadable free of charge. They are part of the Cisco Unified Communications licensing
schemes and the Cisco Spark service.

If you are like many organizations, you want the full capabilities of Cisco Spark, including messaging, meeting, and calling, but
already have a Cisco phone system. You may also be using Cisco Jabber for your mobile calling and collaboration, and do not
want or are not ready to move your call capabilities to the cloud.
With Cisco Spark Hybrid Call Service, you can keep using your existing call control and get all the additional benefits of the Cisco
Spark service. Hybrid Call Service combines the Cisco Spark message and meeting capabilities in our Spark Control Hub with the
following Cisco call control systems:
Call Service Aware makes Cisco Spark aware of the call activity within your existing Cisco call control
Call Service Connect facilitates calls between the two so that they appear as one system to people using them
Cisco Hybrid Call Service helps to enable instant desktop sharing when you call another Cisco Spark user. No extra steps like
scheduling, inviting, or starting a meeting. You can share your screen with a single click.
When making mobile audio and video calls using the Cisco Spark app, the app uses Hybrid Call Service to become a softphone
client of your call control. Spark users can make and receive calls to anyone through their extensions using the company dial plan,
just as if they were at their desks.
With Hybrid Call Service, you can use your office phone number across all your devices, even when making and receiving calls
from the Cisco Spark app. When called, your desk phone, Jabber, and Cisco Spark will ring. Answering the call on any one of them
stops the ringing on the other devices.
Today, call history is often locked on the device on which the call was made. Yet your call history is one of the most convenient
ways to reach someone. With Hybrid Call Service, that valuable call history is unlocked from any one device and made available in
Cisco Spark. You can see all of the calls you made and received across your enterprise phone system, whether you used your
Cisco desk phone, Jabber client, or Spark app.
It often helps to know the last time you spoke to someone so you can make reference to it in your call. When you call another
Cisco Spark user with the Hybrid Call Service, the call event is added to the one-to-one Cisco Spark spacedCloud:
you areThesharing with
Cisco Demo Cloud
that person. Now the space not only includes your chat and shared documents, but also has your call history.
How It Works
Hybrid Call Service can be deployed on its own or together with any of the other Cisco Spark Hybrid Services. To initiate these
services, a software application or connector must be deployed and run on your premises (or in the Cisco Hosted Collaboration
Solution partner cloud). The Hybrid Call Service connector requires Cisco Expressway.
There are no incremental subscriptions or fees for deploying this or any of the Cisco Spark Hybrid Services. The Hybrid Service
Connectors and Cisco Expressway are downloadable free of charge. They are part of Cisco Unified Communications licensing
schemes and the Cisco Spark service.

Bring Your Teams and Work with you Wherever You Are
The Cisco Spark Board, together with the Cisco Spark service and app, offers an integrated and comprehensive life-cycle
approach to teamwork that is as yet unimagined, and thus unmatched, by any other solution on the market. The Cisco Spark Board
itself performs the key activities that teams need to work together in a physical meeting room. The Cisco Spark service connects
the board to a virtual space so work can continue even after the meeting has ended.
Wireless presentation: Share your presentation, locally in room or remotely, without any need for wires, dongles, adapters, or
PIN codes
Digital whiteboard: Easily white board with the Cisco Spark Pen or your finger and automatically save content to a Cisco Spark
virtual space. Multiple people can white board in the room or remotely on any Cisco Spark app-enabled device
Audio/video conferencing system: Make your high-definition video or high-fidelity audio calls directly on the Cisco Spark Board
Continuous workflow: Connect the Cisco Spark Board to a virtual Cisco Spark space and your whiteboard creations and other
shared documents will live there persistently and securely, to be reviewed and edited by any member of the team from another
Cisco Spark Board or any Cisco Spark app-enabled device
In this scenario, you can use a Spark Board with anything you have already completed in the lab. The Spark Board you are using
is most likely connected to the Cisco Spark service. If not, you add the Spark Board as you would any other room device, which
was shown earlier in Scenario 2. The Spark Board DOES NOT have to be connected to the same Spark organization you
configured during this lab.

NOTE: If SSO ever fails for the customer organization, the partner administrator (dcloudcollab@gmail.com / $parkLab123) can
log into the partner portal and access the customer organization from there.
Install the AD CA Root Certificate (Optional but mandatory if you want to demonstrate Spark on your own devices)
This section will guide you to install the CA certificate for the AD server onto your devices. On Workstation 1 and 2, this certificate
is already installed so you dont have to install there if you plan on using Spark within the workstations. Since you are using a self-
signed certificate in this lab, you will need to install this CA certificate to your mobile devices as well as you own computer if you
plan on demonstrating with those devices. If they are not installed, the Spark app will show a completely white screen after
submitting the email address for the user. You only have to do this one time. Once the root cert is on your device SSO will always
work in every demo forward. The only time you would have to reinstall is if you manually delete the root cert from the device.
1. To download the root CA certificate, open your browser and navigate to http://cs.co/ad1cacert.
This will download an ad1cacert file. Open this certificate on your device and install it. Basic instructions are below.
2. For Mac, open the certificate and Add it to the login keychain.
a. After adding the certificate, in Keychain Access window (if not open, then open Keychain Access app) complete a
search for ad1 and open the certificate to view the properties.
b. Once open, expand Trust and change the When using this certificate drop-down list box to Always Trust. Then
close out the certificate and keychain access.
3. For Windows, open the certificate and Install Certificate into the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store.
4. For iOS, email yourself the certificate, open it on the device, and go through the screens to install it.
5. For Android, rename the .cer extension to .crt, email yourself the certificate, open it on the device, and go through the screens
to install it.
In this section, you will test SSO using Anita. First, check to see if Anita received an email from Cisco Spark
