1.1 Preamble
As per the statuary obligation this project needs environmental clearance from
department of Environment and forest dept. (GPCB) Gujarat. it is Existing
lease and to renew and start quarrying operations (production) Accordingly
project proponent has submitted form 1, pre-feasibility report and copy of
Approval letter from department of mines and geology Gujarat, to the state
level environmental assessment authority of Gujarat constituted by MOEF,
GOI for issuing environmental clearance, as per EIA, September 14.2006
notification.

3.6 Domestic / Export Markets : Murram(Sadi Mati) produced is used
locally as well as circulated in nearby area. So clearly there is a huge
market of Murram(Sadi Mati) in the area.

The geographical location of the project is as follows :

4.3 Details of alternate sites, considered and the basis of selecting the
existing site, particularly the environmental considerations gone
into should be highlighted : No other site is considered for the
proposed project. The land has been allocated by government for the
mining only.
The existing Capacity / year is 2000 TPA. Total area of mining lease is
02-00-00 Ha. The mining operation will be @ 2000 Tonne Production of
Murram(Sadi Mati) per annum.

5.1 Connectivity :
Mine site is well connected with road transport. Nearest railway station
is at Rajula Railway Station (5.85 km) of mine site. State Highway 106
(0.70 km). Nearest highway is a National Highway No.8E Passes about
(9.85 km). Amreli is the taluka center and all the primary facilities like
education, health centres including hospitals govt. as well as private,
religious places are available. District centre Amreli is connected by
State highway is 65.00 km. away from lease area.

5.4 Existing land use pattern (agriculture, non-agriculture, forest,
water bodies including area under CRZ), shortest distances from
the periphery of the project to periphery of the forests, national

Soil of the region falls within Average rain fall zone of 1100-1110 mm.

in Amreli. This location is classified as As by Kppen and Geiger. The

averages 594 mm.
