A. The singer of the song is addressing someone they have been seeing/in a relationship.
This significant other is either married or quite involved with someone else, but it had
not sunk in/been made known to the singer. (no pieces of paper in the way). In short,
Im having an affair with a married woman. The singer, me, has had enough of the on
and off love and roller coaster emotions in this relationship. Obviously, I want this girl to
choose me over the other guy she is with, but I will sacrifice our relationship for the pure
freedom of stress this will give me. In the song, it is said that I truly thought that shed
give up the relationship she was currently in and stand in the center of it all and let the
world know that she loves me. However, it doesnt seem to turn out that way as all along
weve been between the lines with no definite answer to our situation.

her voice that pairs so well with her unbelievably raw and truthful lyrics.
