ORDER SEALING THE AFFIDAVIT

OR A PORTION OF THE AFFIDAVIT

WHEREAS, the Affiant has requested that a portion of the search warrant affidavit be
ordered sealed by the magistrate in order to implement the privilege under Evidence
Code section 1040 to 1042, and to protect the identity of any confidential informant(s),
pursuant to the Supreme Court decision in People vs. Janet Marie Hobbs (1994) 7 Cal.
4th 948;

And the Affiant has stated that if any of the information within the requested sealed
portion of the affidavit is made public, it will reveal or tend to reveal the identity of
any confidential informant(s), endanger the life of the confidential informant(s), and
impair further related investigations;

IT IS ORDERED THAT the portion of the search warrant affidavit identified as


Hobbs Attachment be sealed maintained in a manner that complies with any rules or
procedures promulgated by the Los Angeles Superior Court and not be made a part of
the public record until further order of this court or any competent court.
