Appendix No Title
1.0 PURPOSE
This procedure is designed to facilitate understanding of the Emergency Preparedness &
response requirements by the employees, contractors, and other interested parties.
2.0 SCOPE
This procedure shall be applicable for all Employees, contactors, and other interested
parties for management of Emergency incident involving Personnel, Assets, Environment
and Reputation under the influence of company.
3.0 DEFINITION
Emergency
An emergency means a situation arising out of or as a result of any type of hazards like
fire, explosion, chemical spill or other adverse situation which is likely to adversely affect
the persons or population working on or near the site, or residing in the adjacent or
nearby areas around the work site.
Hazard
Source or situation with a potential for harms in terms of injury or ill health, damage to
property, damage to the workplace environment, or a combination of these.
Hazard identification
Process of recognizing that a hazard exists and defining its characteristics
Incident
Event that give rise to an accident or had the potential to lead to an accident.
Risk
Combination of the likelihood and consequence(s) of a specified hazardous event
occurring.
NOTE: An incident where no ill health, injury, damage, or other loss referred to as a
near-miss. The term incident includes near-misses.
Sub Agency/ Contractors
A company directly employed by NPGC to undertake activities on behalf of NPGC.

DETAILED STEPS:
1. As soon as call is received from the site, Site Safety Coordinator blows the Whistle.
2. Safety Coordinator (On Site Emergency Advisor) informs On Site
Emergency Coordinator & On Site Emergency Controller about the emergency at the
site.
3. Ambulance rushes to the site immediately with Rescue team (Site Safety
Officer, Safety Stewards and First Aider).
4. Assessing the situation, On Site Emergency Coordinator informs to the
nearest fire brigade station for help.
5. During Rescue operation victims are rescued and sent to first aid center,
one is given first aid and two are sent to nearest hospital for further treatment with safety
steward & time office personnel.

6. Evacuation of the site starts by the site engineers with the help of Safety
stewards (Assembly Point Controller) by blowing whistle.
7. All employees proceeds promptly towards nearest assembly point using
the nearest exit routs.
8. At the Assembly Point, Contractor Supervisor takes a roll call with the help
of site Engineer / supervisor and reports to the Assembly Point controller including the
missing person status if any.
9. Assembly Point Controller reports any missing personnel and their last
known location to On Site Emergency Controller to initiate any further search & rescue
operation.

1. As soon as the situation analyzed as critical, Site Safety Coordinator blows the Whistle.
2. Safety Coordinator (On Site Emergency Advisor) informs On Site Emergency Coordinator
& On Site Emergency Controller about the emergency at the site.
3. Ambulance rushes to the site immediately with Rescue team (Site Safety Officer, Safety
Stewards and First Aider).
4. Assessing the situation, On Site Emergency Coordinator informs to the nearest fire brigade
station for help.

11. End of Emergency declared.

This team will upkeep housekeeping sort, segregates, sweep, sanitize, and systemized the work area.
Housekeeping Plan. .
Some practices and precautions for a proper Debris Management Plan are:
a. Debris will not be allowed to pile up at site but be removed as frequently as possible.
b. Different kinds of debris shall not be mixed but kept segregated.
c. Excavated rock is to be kept separate from excavated earth.
d. All excavated material is to be placed at least 60 cms away from the edge of excavation to ensure
that the excavation does not cave in and also that the material does not fall back into excavation.
e. At site, locations are to be earmarked where debris may be placed for disposal and sufficient nos.

f. No debris will be dumped in the lanes for movement of construction vehicles and equipment.
g. No debris, steel offcuts, steel for construction is to be allowed to be dumped near the periphery of
the construction to minimise injury to personnel in case of a fall.
h. When construction debris like mortar, dry earth is being handled, it is to be made damp to ensure
that dust nuisance is minimised.
i. The debris is to be segregated and removed from site and disposed in an area where dumping is
allowed by Local authorities
