Using Booksync Scheduler

Epsilon 2.0s Booksync takes advantage of the Microsoft Windows application Task Scheduler
which requires certain security be in place for all jobs started by Task Scheduler. Your settings
depend on your pcs specific security set-up. There are two basic configurations: a server or
stand-alone workstation that requires a password when booting up to log on, and a server or
stand-alone workstation that does not require a password when booting up to log on.

There are 3 components that must be addressed. They are:

1. Modifying Epsilon library configurations.
2. Enabling the creation of Epsilon Catsync in the Task Scheduler.
3. Verifying that Epsilon Booksync is running as expected.

If you are configuring Booksync on systems that do NOT require passwords at login,
follow instructions on pages 24 - 26.

If you are configuring Booksync on systems REQUIRING a password at login, skip to

pages 27 - 29.

If neither of these scenarios applies to you, or if you are unsure of your configuration,
contact DSS at 800.225.6782 for assistance.
