News: New York scaffolding collapse leaves several injured.

Last November 19, 2017 around 11:30 am in the morning, a tragedy which injured a large
number of people had happened. Located at the intersection of Broadway and Prince in the
trendy SoHo neighborhood in lower Manhattan, famed for shopping and art galleries,
Scaffolding is a temporary structure located outside of a building which was usually made of
wooden planks and metal poles used by workers while building, repairing or cleaning the
building. A man named Jonathan Mejia saw the infrastructure fall, heard it banging and wood
falling, he also stated that the sound was defeaning; also a man named Bobby Canty, 57, who
claimed to be removing garbage bags from the area ,noticed the shed was already feeble, he
said, it wasnt a good in the ground. It was up on a slant for about 20 minutes before the
infrastructure fell, "I saw it and took pictures to send to my boss, it was a good yesterday then
I walked away." said Canty. He also said that God is on his side for he barely missed by falling
debris. Deputy Inspector Tommy Ng with the New City Police Departments 5th Precinct
reported that there were 5 minor injuries in that said tragedy, also Deputy Chief Joseph Lonino
said the accident hapenned when a strong gust of wind blew over the shed that was popping on
the scaffold. The wounded citizens were transferred to Bellevue Hospital, the nearest hospital
in town, but none of their injuries were life threatening. The weather service said, Winds this
strong can make difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles, in open areas and on elevated
roads and bridges, use extra caution. And he also added that the winds were clocked between
40 and 50 mph and an advisory which recommends the people to stay indoorswas issued for
safety.
