Strategic Program Manager - Analysis; Chicago, TL Job overview ‘The Strategic Program Manager - Analysis wil be responsible for using analytical tools and processes lo assess the overall health and productivity of United Aiines’signeant investment in aireraft spare parts to improve operational reliably by minimizing airraft out of service ‘events, delays, and cancellations related to the unavalablly of spare pars, while also cansidering various altematives to ownership. Responsibilities Conduct strategic analyses to enhance spare parts support at a fleet, station, or system level and present to Technical Operations leadership Develop, present, and implement initial provisioning spare parts plan for all new fleet or product inductions and coordinate with various work groups on the implementation alan Liaise with various work groups regarding flight schedule changes, ensuring visibility to such changes throughout the Supply Chain group Develop initial spare parts plan for new domestic and international station set ups, and coordinate with other work groups on the implementation plan to ensure operation is set up for success Provide initial development and on-going anelytical support for component management programs in coordination with Internal work groups and external vendors Use department-developed planning models and analytical tools to access opportunities to optimize fleet, station, or system Inventory levels to enhance service level metrics, minimize out-of-service events related to material availablity, and consider alternatives to ownership ‘Ad hoe program or inventory analysis projects as required Assist in development of annual capital plan ané 5-year forecast in coordination with Supply Chain and Finance groups ‘Assist in liaison with Supply Chain and Finance teams regarding on-going updates to quarterly, annual, and 5-year capital plans based on network & fleet plan changes Monitor capital spend related to strategic programs or projects Qualifications Education High school diploma, GED or the education equivalent ofthese (rom another country) required BSIBA dogcee in related fel of expertise or equivalent experience required MBA, MS-SCM or MS-Aviation Management degrees preferred Knowledge/Skills Strong problem sohing forecasting, analytical and performance management skis required Ailty to develop solutions to operational problems with minimum oversight and direction required "Must be able to work with others inside and outside the Supply Chain group to make systematic changes and improvements to operational performance and inventory produtivtylavalabilty across the system "Must filly understang ana be able o manage inventory optimization principles pertaining to demand planning, forecasting, optimal protection levels, economic cost of system shortages anc allocaton planning hips:fual-protaleo necareersection2jobdetal 42err2r2017 Tech Ops - Strategie Program Manager - Analysis Demonstrated ably to identity key issues and relationships using data mining tools and techniques, spreadsheets and financial applications to develop systematic inventory solution recommendations and implement slans requred Indepth knowledge of Excel, SAL, SAS and statistical analysis or modeling required Must be sel motvated and display a strong affinity for showing inibate Strong leadership and communication skils required Experience ‘A minimum of theee to five years of experience inthe field of supply chain inventory analysis, planning, or optimization required ‘Aitlinefaviation experience preferred Other ‘Must be legally authorized to work in the Urited States for any employer without sponsorship ‘Successful completion of interview required to meet ob qualication Reliable, punctual attendance isan essential function ofthe postion Job Tech Ops / Maintenance - Management & Administrative Primary LocationUnited States-IL-WHQ - Chicago - Corporate Support Center - Willis Tower Organization 66 Technical Operations/Maintenance Schedule Full-time ‘Approved Job Level:5 Employee Status Regular Posting Date Aug 4, 2017 Unposting Date Aug 21, 2017 Copyright © 2013 United Aetines ne ‘leone esered hitps:fual-protaleo. necareersection2jobdetal 22
