656 Cmics es un colectivo de cmics nacido en
la catica regin entre Ciudad Jurez y El Paso,
Tx. Ms de una dcada retratando la tierra fron-
teriza con historias que reflejan lo fantstico y la
realidad de la comunidad de Jurez.
656 Comics is a comics collective born in the cha-
otic region between Ciudad Juarez and El Paso,
Tx. With more than a decade portraying the
borderland with stories that reflect both the fantas-
tical and reality of the Jurez community.

656 Cmics ha publicado ms de 10 novelas
grficas, 11 antologas y 20 cmics, independien-
temente y con el apoyo de diversas instituciones.
Algunas de sus obras destacadas son;
"Infestacin: The Mythology" (2010), una novela
grfica de 372 pginas que fue oficialmente
seleccionada para el 37 Festival Internacional de
Cmic de Angoulme 2010 y "Cronoerrante"
(2012), una novela de ciencia ficcin que explora
la oscura historia de Ciudad Jurez. Actualmente
estn trabajando en la primera novela grfica de
Zombi Kid.

656 Comics has published over 10 graphic
novels, 11 anthologies and 20 comics, inde-
pendently and with support from various institu-
tions. Some of their prominent works are;
"Infestacin: The Mythology" (2010): a 372 page
graphic novel which was officially selected for the
37th International Comics Festival of Angoulme
2010 and "Cronoerrante" (2012): a sci fi graphic
novel that explores the dark history of Ciudad
Jurez. Currently they are working on the first
graphic novel of Zombi Kid.

LA BARDA
Paco y Samuel, en la vspera de las vacaciones de
verano, se encuentran con una serie de pequeos
eventos extraos en la ciudad, y su relacin con
Azul. Una misteriosa muchacha que conocen en
el llano de camino a casa. Una historia con tintes
de realismo mgico.

Este es un proyecto que nace de las letras de

Adran Serato y el arte de Javier Gutirrez, en la
que nos presentan un pequeo relato de fantasa
e incgnitas urbanas.

Paco and Samuel, on the eve of the summer vaca-

tions, meet a series of small strange events in the
city, and their relationship with Azul. A mysterious
girl they meet through an abandoned lot on the
way home. A story peppered with magical realism.

This is a project that is born from the words of

Adran Serato and the art of Javier Gutirrez, in
which they present us with a small story of fantasy
and urban oddities.

THE THIRD PARTY

Rocco ha sido un nio rata y un compaero
nefasto durante la mayor parte de su vida. Luego
de ser expulsado del clan por sus amigos, Rocco
es accidentalmente transportado a otra dimensin
a travs de una consola de videojuegos de los
noventas, el SNEX.

Es recibido con hostilidad por los habitantes del

mundo desconocido, pero por suerte Rumble, un
robot protector, llega al rescate y promete ayudarlo
a encontrar el camino de regreso a casa.

Para esta misin Rumble busca la ayuda del

Comandante Blazt, un cosmo-soldado con un
trgico pasado; y Elena Belmondo, una cazadora
de lo oculto con la aficin de probarse a s misma.
Lo cierto es que ninguno muestra confianza en la
capacidad de Rocco Quin puede culparlos?
Ahora Rocco debe adaptarse a este nuevo entorno
y aprender el verdadero valor de la amistad y la
cooperacin.

Pero ser suficiente para regresar a casa?

Estar condenado a permanecer dentro de la
consola misteriosa de por vida? The 3rd Party (Los
Terceros) es una novela grfica repleta de aventura,
humor y videojuegos de los noventa. Los Terceros
tiene como objetivo ser el primer cmic de 656
Cmics para gamers y el pblico juvenil.

Rocco has been a salty gamer and an awful friend
for most of his life. After being kicked out of the
clan by his friends, Rocco, is "accidently" transported
to another world via a 90's video game console,
The SNEX.

Rocco is greeted with hostility by the inhabitants of

the unknown world but luckily Rumble, a robot
protector, comes to his aid and assures Rocco that
he will help him find a way back home.

For this mission, Rumble enlists the help of Com-

mander Blazt, a space marine with a tragic past,
and Elena Belmondo, an occult huntress, always
looking to prove herself. But none of them shows
any confidence in Rocco's ability. Honestly, who
can blame them? Rocco must learn to adapt to his
new surroundings and learn the true value of
friendship and good sportsmanship.

But will that be enough to return him home? Or is

Rocco condemned to stay inside the mysterious
console for life?

The 3rd Party is a fast-paced adventure graphic

novel in the vein of 90's video game cartoons. The
3rd Party is aimed to be 656 Comic's first breakout
adventure comic for the indie, gamer and young
adult scene.

LOS MEKSMEN vs ZOMBI KID

Los muertos regresan a la vida para enfiestarse en
su da, pero Zombi Kid, el nio de la muerte, llega
a Ciudad Jurez de agua fiestas a quitarles su
diversin. Los Meksmen, un do dedicado al
servicio de la comunidad, defendindola de esos
corruptos, abusones y villanos tercermundistas,
salen a investigar la situacin; no sin antes llegar
a su cantina favorita a tomarse algunos tragos de
valor. Veremos cmo nuestros hroes fronterizos
meten en cintura a este nio berrinchudo de ultra-
tumba.

The dead return to life to celebrate their day, but

Zombi Kid, the child of death, comes to Ciudad
Juarez to rain on their parade. Los Meksmen, a
duo dedicated to the protection of the community,
defending it from those corrupt and abusive
third-world villains, go out to investigate the situa-
tion; not before grabbing a few drinks to muster up
the courage from their favorite bar. In this issue we
will see how our border heroes keep in check this
boney child from beyond the grave.
