1, Indications

2, Aplications
This product is widely used in hospitals, clinics or nursing home for the
examination, nursing and rehabilitation of the patients. It also can be use for
care at home.

3, Contraindications,
When improperly deal with the power line, such as the castors run over it
or the if the bed head board or other moving part squeeze the line this will
cause damage in safety. So, the patient and nurse should not make the castor
run over the line, and avoid the squeezing from the moving parts to the line.

Manufacturer should fix the powder line on the bed, avoiding damaging of
them.
4, Warning.
4.1. Its prohibited to put the heavy object on the edge on the bed board, since
it may distort, which will affect the normal use of the bed.
4.2. Its prohibited to use knife or sharp equipment to hit or scratch the bed
surface.

5, Main component
5.1, The electric bed is composed of bed board, bed frame, bed base, motor,
bedside rail and so on.
5.2, Use heavy duty silent castors with brake.(two with brake)
5.3, Use silent motor manufactured by Zhejiang jiecang motion technology
co.,Ltd or equivalent quality motor.

6.2 Use direction of IV pole (Optional)

The I.V. pole is made of 2 sections with 4 hooks, the height of it can be
adjusted by the twist lock in the middle part as schematic diagram8-2

6.3 Use direction of mattress

Take out the mattress from its plastic bag, then make the mattress platform
(bed board) to be flat, and put the mattress on.

7. Description of the operation of the equipment

7.1 Use direction of components
7.1.1 Braking and releasing of castors
Stepping on the pedal can brake and release the braking of the castors as below

Remark:
1. Braking can be released only when they are on status of braking
2. The castor should be braked when the bed is stationary to prevent the free
slide of the bed.
7.1.2 Installation of the bed head and foot board
The bead head and foot board are disassembled for safe and space-saving in
the transportation.
7.1.2.1 Installation of the bed head and foot board
Take out the bed head and foot board, from the packing carton.
Insert them into its hold position and lock the switch.
7.1.3 Use direction of bedside rail

a. Lifting the bedside rail:

Hold the switch and pull it outward, then life the bedside rail upward to its final
top position. When there is a clear voice, it means that the bedside rail has
been locked on the final top position and its vertical to the bed edge.

b. Lowering the bedside rail

Hold the switch and pull it out, then release it and the bedside rail will
automatically fall to the down position.

Warm Reminding: When lift or lower the bedside rail, pay attention to the
movement of the bedside rail, avoiding any hurt to the patient or other nearby
people.
c. Angle ruler
There is an angle ruler on the bedside rail, the angle will change to show
current angle accordingly when the bed board raise or lowers.
7.1.4 Function of bed board

The bed board is made of powder coated carbon steel cold plate, it has made
4 sections. Each section has different function as below:
Backrest section: Its the backrest for the patient. The angle of it can be
adjusted by the manual controller from 0-60
: Backrest section: its the seat for the patient, its fixed on the bed frame
and its Rotary fulcrum for its neighboring sections.
Leg section: it supports the leg of the patient. The angle of it can be
adjusted by the manual controller from 0-40

Lower leg section: it supports the leg of the patient. Its connected with the
leg section, so its adjusted accordingly when adjust the leg section by the
manual controller.

7.2. Use direction of electrical components

7.2.1 Use direction of nurse controller

Nurse controller and its functions are as below schematic diagram9-1

Panel control switch: It is the total switch of the control panel. Only when it
is on The LED light is green), the other bottoms can work. The light will be off
automatically in 10 seconds if there is no any moment of all the motors.
Pressing the bottom can turn it on again. (Remark: this bottom can not turn off
the control panel)
Quickly stop: It controls the power supply of all the motors. Turning it off ( the
LED Light is off) can quickly stop all the movements of the motors(Including
the movements controlled by the pedal and bedside rail). At the same time,
lock 1, lock2, lock3, lock4 will be off (The LED light of the lock is off). Pressing
it again and the LED light will be on, and all the motors can work. But please
note that the lock 1, lock2, lock3, lock4 are still on locking status, it need to
press the lock to turn it on so that its locked bottom can work.
Power light: Its LED light is on when the bed is connected normally the
power supply.
Batter light: Its LED light is on when the battery can supply the power for the
system. When it can not supply the powder, the LED Light is yellow. When the
battery is on charging, both LED lights are flashing.
Below are main function bottoms:
Raise leg: This bottom can raise the leg section of back section of the bed
board.
Lower leg: This bottom can lower the leg section of back section of the bed
board.
Raise back: This bottom can raise the back section of the bed board.
Lower back: This bottom can lower the back section of the bed board.
Raise leg and back: This bottom can raise the back section and leg section
of bed board simultaneously
Lower leg and back: This bottom can lower the back section and leg section
of bed board simultaneously
Trendelenburg: This bottom can achieve trendelenburg of the bed.
Reverse trendelenburg: This bottom can achieve reverse trendelenburg of
the bed.
Raise Hi.of bed: This bottom can raise the height of whole bed
Lower Hi. of bed: This bottom can lower the height of whole bed.
Tilt to left: This bottom can make the bed tilt to the left.
Tilt to right: This bottom can make the bed tilt to the right.
Remark: Above main function bottoms can work only when LED light of panel
control switch,quickly stop and its corresponding lock is on. Turn off Lock 1 or

lock 2 can lock bottom and .

Lock 1: This bottom lock bottom Raise leg and lower leg, raise leg and back,
lower leg and back ( including these functions on the control panel in the
bedside rail)
Lock 2: This bottom lock bottom Raise back and lower back raise leg and
back, lower leg and back ( including these functions on the control panel in
the bedside rail)
Lock 3: This bottom lock bottom Trendelenburg, reverse trendelenburg, Raise
Hi. of bed, Lower Hi. of bed, tilt to left and tilt to right ( including these
functions on the control panel in the bedside rail)
Lock 4: This bottom lock bottom pedal control.
Remark: TR,CPR,First aid,SL,Get out can not be locked by Lock1,Lock 2,
Lock 3,
Lock 4, they are only controlled by the bottom Quick stop.
TR: This bottom can achieve trendelenburg of the bed.
CPR: This bottom can make the bed resume to CPR position.
First aid: This bottom can make the bed achieve first aid position.
Sitting & laying: This bottom make the bed achieve sitting and lying position.
Get out: This bottom can make the bed achieve getting out position.

7.2.2 Use direction of control panel in bedside rail

Use direction of corresponding bottoms

Bottom A: Control the angle of leg section of the bed board

Press bottom to raise the leg section of the bed board
Press bottom to lower the leg section of the bed board
Bottom B: Control the angle of back section of the bed board
Press bottom to raise the back section of the bed board.
Press bottom to lower the back section of the bed board.
Bottom C: Control Hi-Lo. of the bed whole bed
Press bottom to raise the height of whole bed
Press bottom to lower the height of whole bed
Bottom D:Control the trendelenburg and reverse trendelenburg of the
bed
Press bottom to achieve reverse trendelenburg of the bed.
Press bottom to achieve trendelenburg of the bed.
Bottom E: Control tilt of the bed
Press bottom to make the bed tilt to the right.
Press bottom to make the bed tilt to the left.
Remark: 1.Only when the LED light of switch is on, and the corresponding
LED light of Lock of the nurse controller is on, the bottoms in bedside rail can
work, for example: Only when the LED Light of switch and the LED light of
Lock 1 is on, bottom A can work.

7.2.3 Use direction of pedal control

7.2.3 Instructions of maintenance and safe using of rechargeable battery

1. Way of safe using: It should be charge for 4 hours for the first time to
charge. When power supply is cut off, the battery use.
2. When its over load, overload protection works and battery stop working.
3. Way of replacement of battery
a) Open the up cover and middle cover of the control box, and pull out
 the plug of the battery on the control circuit board, then take out the
battery that needs to replace.
b) Remove the varnished tube from the welding spot of the battery, and
weld all the connecting line.
c) Connect the welded line as they were before, dont forget to over the
welding spot with varnished tube.
d) Place the battery in to its position in the control box, and insert the plug
to corresponding socket on the circuit board. Please place the battery
on the side, and two poles of battery should be inversed it will cause
damage if the same poles are connected.
e) Close the box and fit it with crews.
Remark: The picture is just for reference, please take the real object as
standard.

7.4. Attention for Using

1. Dont press the weight of whole body on the outermost end of the bed
board to avoid distortion and damage of the bed surface.
2. The running hours of the electric bed is not over 10minutes/ hour
3. Dont launch the motors ceaselessly again and again, its forbidden for child
to play the controller.
4. The movement of the component may cause harm to the patient, so the
bed should be operated by its operator. Dont put the hands in the joint of
moving parts of the bed, avoiding pressure injury when operate the motors.
5. The motors run quietly, if they noisily or there is abnormal noise but can not
find the reason, please restore the bed surface to horizontal position, stop
using the electric device, and contact with our company immediately.
6. When the patient is unattended, please place the bed surface on the lowest
position, that's 450mm high from the floor, reducing the risk of harm of
dropping from the bed when lay on the bed or dropping when patient goes to
the be or get out of the bed.
7. When the patients status is so good such as being confused in mind or
losing direction sense, this may cause the patient gets stuck on the bed, so
please place the mattress platform in horizontal position when the patient is
unattended.
8. Dont use the bed in such condition that there is mixed gas of flammable
gas and air or mixed gas of oxygen and nitrous oxide.
9. This electric bed has no defibrillation function. The indicator light of the
battery shows the charging status of the battery.
10. When the motor of the bed is running, it will produce electromagnetic
interference signal, so its not advised to use nearby sensitive equipments
when the motor is running.

7.5. Clean, preventive inspection and maintenance

1. The bed should be cleaned by clean soft cloth monthly and disinfected with
alcohol. Smear some lubricating oil on the rotating parts of the beds annually
so that these part can move smoothly without any clamping.
2. The bed surface, bed body, bed frame, bed leg, motor, bedside rail should
be checked by professional for preventative inspection and maintenance.
Check if the moving parts can work smoothly, check if there be any danger to
the patient, check if there any loosing or flexible fastener. The bed surface,
bed head and foot board should be disinfected annually.
3. Please do not use the sharp or hard equipment to hit or scratch the surface
of the bed
Do not place the bed in the environment of high temperature, strong infrared
ray or ultraviolet rays (80 centigrade), since if so, the plastic of bed will be
softening, which shorten the life of the bed
4. If corrosive liquid splash to the surface, please use dry towel to wipe it
quickly.
