Unit #: 5.1-5.4 (review) lass: Spanish I


Audience: Novice- low Ages 19-65
Lesson Title: Nos vamos de Vacaciones

Objective purpose
To be able to talk about vacations and things you like to do, using the
vocabulary from the chapter, the present progressive and the verb estar.

3.1 Making Connections: Learners build, reinforce, and expand their
knowledge of other disciplines while using the language to develop
critical thinking and to solve problems creatively.

2.1 Relating Cultural Practices to Perspectives: Learners use the

The teacher will begin the class by reviewing the previous lesson and
using it to start the theme of vacations for the upcoming activity.

El viaje de tus sueos In this activity:


(30 min) -The students will get into groups of two; one will be a travel agent
while the other will be the client.
-The students will communicate in Spanish to create the ideal vacation.
-The student assigned as the travel agent will ask their client questions
to find out what their ideal vacation is and how to make it come true.
-The Student assigned as the client will have to answer questions that
describe his or her ideal vacation.
- The students will present their ideal vacation conversation to the class.

This will allow students to practice various parts of the vocabulary and
the grammatical structures in an authentic way while they practice the
language. The teacher will not correct students present.
Conclusion -The teacher will go over any common mistakes with the students from
(5 mins.) the presentations by writing out quotes from the students and asking the
class how that should be said.
-The teacher will remind students that the review is online and tell them
what the homework is.
HOMEWORK: Answer the questions in a paragraph about your ideal
vacation:
-En dnde ests?
-Qu ests haciendo?
-Cunto tiempo estas de vacaciones?
-Quin est en tus vacaciones?

Assessment The presentation will act as an informal assessment of the skills the
students have acquired. The homework will allow the teacher to make
corrections and give students feedback.
