Strengths of the lesson:Muna connected with the children and helped them to
become enthusiastic about the subject. She modeled how to respond in English when
the children were unable to understand. She interacted with the children while they
were working and modeled how to draw their observations. Muna is an outstanding
KG teacher with excellent rapport with the students. She clearly loves working with
the children and has no qualms about getting down on their level and modeling how
to play and learn.

Areas for development:

Muna benefits from having a peer teacher to bounce ideas off of and to work through
the lesson together. At some point, she will need to work on understanding the big
picture, what the requirements areand being able to execute a lesson completely
independently. Muna needs to continue developing her English.

Observed Strengths:Muna is a professional who comes to work on time each day and participates fully
the entire workday. She goes above and beyond to support the learning in the classroom. genuinely enjoys
KG children and gets on their level to model and interact with them. She has a clear idea in her mind about
the developmental needs of this age and she takes their development personally. She gets to know each
child, welcomes each child by name daily and interacts with each on a personal level. She takes their
wellbeing to heart and advocated for extra support for a boy with anxiety, going well beyond the
expectations for a first-year student teacher. Muna has a terrific instinct and passion for teaching small
children and the schools will be blessed to have her join their staff one day.

Areas for Development:

Muna is sometimes unclear about the expectations from her academic program and would benefit from a
mentor or advisor to help review the syllabus and specific assignments. I suspect she will overcome this
easily with practice as she progresses through the university program. Muna needs to continue developing
her English vocabulary and syntax.
General CommentsIt was truly a pleasure working with Muna these two weeks. She was an asset to the
classroom and was sorely missed upon departure. She is going to make a wonderful teacher and her
community is lucky to have such a talented and passionate teacher.
