Taylor used the attention getters that were already in place in the classroom.

Comments:
Materials were readily available so the lesson was able to stay on pace.

Comments:
Lesson was aligned with content previously taught by the guidance counselor, and allowed students to naturally
make the connection between classes.

Comments:
Taylor used a ball with numbers to allow for differentiated questions during her lesson. Students enjoyed this method as it
kept the questioning fun.

Comments:
The lesson was opened with the statement for why the lesson was being conducted, along with the expected
outcomes. Taylor moved students through a variety of activities that were centered on community building.

6. Evaluation/Assessment - Instructional Feedback


Intern provides feedback on the correctness or incorrectness of in-class work to encourage student growth.
Intern affirms correct oral responses appropriately and moves on.
Intern provides sustaining feedback after an incorrect response by probing, repeating the question, giving a clue,
or allowing more time.
Comments:
I was impressed that Taylor did not use language such as incorrect when a student provided a response that was off topic,
she maintained the integrity of the students by restating the question and allowing them think time, which helps the
students feel successful.
Strengths: Areas on which to focus:
-Activities were focused on community building along with -Provide wait time when giving a behavior redirection.
