Social DimensionOvercomes Poverty

Man has the power to triumph over all the problems that the world gives to him. It is
because mans potential is a kind of mystery that unlocks only when he is in great need to
respond and solve any problem that will cause his family in threat. When he tries to protect and
to give a good life to his beloved, the unknown abilitythat will conquer the entire dilemma
will emerge from the room situated in the depths of his self. Thus, the password to open this
room lies behind in the social dimension of man, his relationship with his family and the values
he preserves from their affiliation.
Nowadays, poverty becomes the main dilemma that threatens human dignity
particularly by its family, like the family status as featured in the news article.Man is classified
into different categories in life but can be simplified into two main features. Thus, the world
acknowledge the standard of thehaves and standards of the have notsrich and poor.
Though, the misconception often times occurthe have has the only capacity to be social, to
deal and to mingle with others in the competitive world, to the worst that even in schools, this
mind set is very prevalent among students. The former enjoys life with dignity and
acknowledgement he wants to himself. The latter become the victim of bullying, low self-
esteem, hunger, without proper supply for education and health, and all the sacrifices that
involves his situation, i.e. where the student girl in the article belongs.
The girl is not mentioned being humiliated but what I am trying to present is that this
might be the outcome if her classmates find out her family situation. She will look inferior in
their eyes. No young students in this world want to be humiliated in schools.
However, the determination of the parents to give their children a good life motivates
them to take the risk in the city. Such attempt is the tensest one. In the city, they have no
relatives to depend in time of crisis. What holds them to pursue such situation is the love and
care for each other. The parents dont want that their children experience what they had
experienced. The saying goes: history repeat itself, is the concern that their family wants to
overcome. They want their children to savor the beauty of being acknowledged according to
the standard of social life as what the society defines in this epoch of innovation and
technology. Thats why, it leads them to fight this dilemmapoverty. However, without the
social dimension that fortifies a strong relationship of a familylove and care among the
membersthe solution is unrealizable.
As what I define social dimension, it is the key that unlocks the power of man to survive
to any problems. Thus, it is somewhat a kind of coercive force that enables the member,
particularly the parents to work for their food, for their shelter, for their education, for their
health, for their family assets, and for their bonding not just for a period of time but including
the future generation for the survival of their lineage.
Moreover, the issue then is not about the family is determined by the world to be
underprivileged in order to make them suffer. However; the main basis is to be addressed to
the insensitivity of the social dimension of man. Either it happened from their parents,
grandparents, ancestors or to anyone else from their bloodline. There is no family destined to
poverty. Thus, I cannot put the blame on the haves because Ive observed various families
belong to this category develop their social life better. The parents work for their children to
have a good life, a good education, and a good shelter with all the basic needs; thus, the
children have savored the beauty of life bestowed by their parents. In fact base in their family
history, the status in life they live at present is the fruits of the labor by their predecessors. Thus
in times of yore, social dimension between the members are practiced and lived for the survival
of their clans.
The matter I am trying to present in this reflection is a motivation to overcome the
problem of poverty based on the experience I have read on the article. In order for a family to
solve this well-known dilemma of society nowadays, what it needs is the exercise of social
dimension between the members. Furthermore, this exercise must be rooted in love and care.
In the end, what makes the family able to survive is their relationship itself. They must
develop the value of love and care. Thus, selfishness is set aside and the power to overcome
any problem is based on how they work and united together as one family. The parents have
the great responsibility to sustain their children a good future not just for them to have
pleasure and leisure in life but for survival of their clan itself.
