CINDERELLA

CHARACTERS

Cinderella is a young woman with medium-length blonde hair, blue eyes and fair complexion.
There are many different stories about her from different states and countries.

Jaq (real name Jacques) and Gus (real name Octavius) are two mice who serve as Cinderella's
sidekicks. Gus has a penchant for cheese.

Lady Tremaine (also known as the Wicked Stepmother or Cinderella's stepmother) is the
primary antagonist of the story. A cruel, cold, and calculating tyrant, Lady Tremaine wants nothing
more than her daughters to succeed.

Anastasia is demanding and whiny, but not as bad as Drizella. Anastasia also has enormous feet.
During their music lesson, Anastasia plays the flute as Drizella sings but in the sequels she has a
beautiful singing voice. Anastasia quarrels with her sister often, though they are united in their
jealousy of and contempt for Cinderella.

Drizella Tremaine is the brown-haired older daughter of Lady Tremaine.

Prince Charming is Cinderella's love interest. He is a dark-haired, tall, and handsome young man.
In the first film, he has no given name.

The King: Prince Charming's father who desperately wants his son to marry and have children
because he wants to see his grandchildren before he dies as shown in the first film. In the second
film, he appears a few times in the first and second segments.

The Grand Duke: The King's right-hand man who organized the ball for Prince Charming to meet
and marry a woman. He later visited the Tremaine manor to find the glass slipper's owner.

SETTING
The story takes place a long time ago in a land ruled by a king and a queen
Cinderellas house : Kitchen
In the kitchen, where Cinderella was sitting all by herself, there was a burst of light
and a fairy appeared.
The Princes Palace : Ballroom
When Cinderella entered the ballroom at the palace, a hush fell. Everyone stopped
in mid-sentence to admire her elegance, her beauty and grace.

THEME
Kindness will defeat wickedness : Kindness & patience
Cinderella owns will defeat evil soul of her stepmother & stepsisters in the end.
Envy & Jealousy
Her stepmother always feel envy with Cinderella. It is shown in the third paragraph,
that no matter how splendid and elegant her stepsisters clothes are, they were still clumsy,
lumpy, and ugly, and always would be. So, thats why Cinderella was given her stepsisters
second-hand dresses by her mother to make Cinderella looks ugly.

PLOT

Introduction Once upon a time, there lived an unhappy young girl. Unhappy she was, for
her mother was dead, her father had married another woman, a widow with two daughters, and her
stepmother didn't like her one little bit.

Rising Action
Her stepmother and stepsisters always treated her harshly, like she was a slave Her
stepmother and stepsisters didnt allowed her to go to the dance party in the palace The fairy
godmother and her animal friend helped her to go to attend the party

Climax
After dancing with the prince she had to leave the ballroom in a hurry that caused one her
slipper was left. The prince couldnt catch her.

Falling Action
The butler, based on The Prince order, found Cinderella and her foot fitted on the slipper.

Resolution
After finding Cinderella as the girl he fell in love with, they got married and lived happily
ever after.

Conflict

The conflicts that happened in this story are:

External Conflict Cinderella vs her mother because when she asked to go to the party, her
step-mother would decline her wish and said, "You? My dear girl, you're staying at home
to wash the dishes, scrub the floors and turn down the beds for your stepsisters. They will
come home tired and very sleepy."

Internal Conflict Cinderella vs herself because she thought she was not fit in to go to the
palace, she was ugly, etc.
