Start with showing the students the book and ask them do you know what this is? What can
you see on the cover? Can you tell me what is the letter that the title of the story starts with?
Start with reading the story with the students and try to summarize each page because the
story is too tall and students need explanation for so many words so it might need more than

one day. Read the story as simple as you can and discuss with the students while reading

Put a plant with magnifying glass and let the students explore and draw what they see in the
plant.
Give the students papers and colors and ask them to draw what they understood from the
story or liked. And if they could draw the lifecycle of the plant.
Independent Experience (small group activity 3)
The teacher will give students different pictures of the parts of the plant like the stem, roots,
leaves, and flower and ask them to copy the pictures using the Legos.
After finishing from the story and activities the teacher will ask the students by showing them
the cover page: do you remember the title of our story?

In the closing the teacher will assess if students understood the story by asking them questions. If they
were able to recall or tell some information from the story it means that they have understood.
