In order to get accurate research on the audience of my advert I conducted a questionnaire the results of this
questionnaire will impact certain elements of my advert.
The results of this question show that the majority of the people who answered my questionnaire were within the
16-18 age demographic, this is good due to the fact that this is part of our target demographic for our advert. The
second highest age group is 19-21 which again is good because they are part of our target demographic. From
these results it is clear that because majority of the people answering the questionnaire were within the target
age demographic it means I will have more accurate results
Question 3- Do you use the gym regularly?
The results of this question show that out of the 32 people (2 of which did not finish the
questionnaire) who answered my questionnaire 20 of them did exercise every day or quite often
that means 64% of the people who answered my questionnaire were more active than the other
36%. The results are positive due to the fact that because the product is aimed at an active
audience and majority of the people who answered my questionnaire are active this means that
the product will sell within the target audience.
The aim of this question was to see as to what activities the target audience take part in so that
they could be reflected within the advert in order to appeal to them. 31.03% of the people who
answered my questionnaire selected other. Which when looked into in the individual responses
showed that walking, jogging and running were popular responses therefore I shall try to
incorporate these activities into my advert.
In order to find out the perfect time of day to play the advert so that the target demographic was
exposed to it I asked the question what time of day do you watch TV more. Looking at the results
it is clear that majority of the people answered evening. Therefore the evening would probably be
the period of time where the advert would get the most views from the target audience.
This question was in order to find out what genre of music was most popular in order to gain
insight into what kind of music would apply to the target audience of my advert. Clearly from the
results it is obvious that pop music is the most popular genre of music and therefore will be the
genre of music that I will use within my advert
Question 8- Who is your favourite band/artist?
I asked this question due to the fact that I wanted to know what people within the target
audiences favourite band/artist were in order to further gain insight into what I should include
within my advert. The results were varied depending on what the people answered in the earlier
question. However the two most repeated bands/artists were Slipknot and Melanie Martinez.
Now whilst slipknot will not be the best of choices due to its non-child friendly music ( music must
be appropriate due to the pre watershed time slot) however Melanie Martinez has music which
would work quite well even just using an instrumental version of her music would work quite well
within the ad.
This question was in order to see what words people associate with deodorant so that they could
be included within the advert. The words that came up most frequently within my questionnaire
were fresh and long lasting which work quite well to advertise a product. A weord that came up
less but sounded like it would work well was refreshing due to the fact that when you dont want
to sweat you want a refreshing product therefore I will try to incorporate these words into my
advert.
This question was in order to see what people find the most important when buying the product.
The results show that the people who answered the questionnaire do not feel that the look of the
product is important however they find how long the product is effective for the most important
which makes sense when you take an active lifestyle into consideration therefore I will mention
how long it is effective for within my advert.
