JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting Analyst/Database Developer (23896-1)
1 Year Contract
Downtown Toronto

GROUP/PROJECT INFO:
This is the Analytics Centre of Excellence and they support North American Channels, pushing customers toward
digital channels, migrating transactions, working with key databases, compiling data infrastructure and automating
reporting.

The Reporting Analyst is accountable to develop and deliver reporting, analytics, and measurement strategies in line
with both immediate and long term Canadian P&C business objectives.

The incumbent is accountable to act as a reporting and analytics subject matter expert for the P&C Channels
portfolio. The successful candidate will combine both business and technology acumen to generate and maintain
reporting in various forms (ad-hoc analyses, regular reporting, self-serve BI).

2 openings; the first is for a maternity leave coverage and the second, a net new contract - both 12 months in
length (1 role has already been filled).

CULTURE:
This is a heads down working environment, with some opportunity for collaboration. The incumbent candidates will be
responsible for independent investigation of data issues, and require strong independent work and ability to drive
results and KPIs.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):


Reporting Proposals

Responsible to design reporting that is intended to incent, measure, and drive particular business objectives.
Refine design proposals in collaboration with various stakeholders in other Personal Segment teams.

Analytics & Reporting

Act as subject matter expert (SME) for reporting and analytics on one or more of The Bank's Personal
Segment sales forces, channels, product lines, or customer segments (specifically North American
Channels) by becoming intimately familiar with:
Data in The Bank's various data warehouses (IDP, CDW, CAD)
Salesforce, product, and channels business information including processes, pricing, incentives,
product offerings, etc.
Use specialized query and database tools SAS, SQL, and SpotFire to implement approved report
proposals.
Design and improve production and ad-hoc reporting processes.
Work proactively and collaboratively with key clients and stakeholders to continuously enhance reporting.
TOP SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

2-3+ years experience in business intelligence, ETL, and analytics


Proven familiarity with data manipulation/analysis tools, including SAS, SQL, or equivalent data
manipulation software
1 - 3 years - coding and database experience
Proven ability to work with ambiguous data sets and the ability to meet hard deadlines

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:


Previous financial institution experience is a very nice to have

EDUCATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
A University level background in an analytical discipline such as statistics, mathematics, economics, computer
science, or engineering.
