Strengths of the lesson:

- Did a review
- Gave clear instructions
- Prepared materials for shops on the tables

Areas for development:

- Need to have the date and the learning outcomes displayed.


- Could start with a picture without the words, ask them what is this? then, present the word
- Could ask students to stop answering together for everything! And ask some individual learners to
read, check their pronunciation, and praise them.
- Grammatical errors: ex. Cloth/clothes shop, where are the boy?,
- Use clear pictures that are not confusing for the learners old/young are opposites and you used the
picture to review the preposition next to! Another picture you used the one with the bus driver and the
bus. The bus driver was in front of the bus and the preposition you reviewed was next to?!
- You gave clear instructions but didnt make sure they understood and if they were listening to you.
- Need to move between the groups and give feedback (some students were doing other things, some
doing the paper and not paying attention to you).
- Not sure but seemed to me you repeated the task where they read from the board and that was not
necessary because they already knew them so if you could ask them to use the words in a sentence for
example or tell how to reach the bookshop or the toy shop because you already had prepared the
tables like shops but didnt use them to meet LO 2- Understand, follow, and give directions.
- You moved to the speaking activity which was between only two students and the rest of the students
were busy doing the paper you gave them whereas theyre supposed to listen to your instructions,
know what the two students were talking about (not sure if they were modeling the speaking task) and
have a chance to practise speaking.
- Need to model the tasks several times if necessary and check pronunciation.
- Around 20 minutes from the sessions time were left! And you missed the building on knowledge
stage).
- Need to plan well and work on meeting the learning outcomes included in the lesson plan.
