The objective of this subject is to expose the students to the basic concepts related to family law,
grounds for divorce and the legal implications of a divorce. It also comprehends the legal rights of
divorced parents and their children. It exposes the students to domestic violence and matters
related to it.
This is a core subject in our Bachelor of Laws (Honours) programme. Law students are expected to
have basic understanding of the concepts relating to civil family law.
