The Shop of Grinding Meatballs

The picture aboveis a shop of grinding meatballs
in the New Grogolan Market Pekalongan City. The
picture was taken on Thursday September 21th, 2017
at 08.00 WIB. The shop opens daily from 5 am to 12
am.The reason for choosing this shop as an object of
algebra math is because in this shop there were several
things that can be associated with algebra. In addition
to matters relating to geometry such as the shape of the
grinding machine, but other supporting things such as
the length of time, the material used and the cost can be
the object of study in algebra.
The shop of grinding meatballs can be used as an
object on mathematics learning as well as in KD. 3.8
Describe linear equations and inequalities of one
variable and its solutions and KD 4.8 Solve problems
related to linear equations and inequalities of one
variable. This KD was applied in the 7th grade of
junior high school. Those relation are particularly
about the ingredients and the costs required when
grinding meat for meatballs. Usually, to grind the meat
needed supporting materials such as ice cubes, water
and other spices. For each grinding 250 grams of meat,
the shop needed 200 grams of flour spices, 1 grain of
chicken egg and 2 cloves of garlic.While the amount of
ice cubes were needed depends on the condition of the
meat. So, it cant be determined with certainly. Then
for the cost of grinding the meat, each grind about 250
grams of meat then the customer must pay ten
thousand rupiah.(Including the cost of other materials).
On Thursday, September 21th, 2017 Ria went to
the New Grogolan Market to ground meat and made
themeatballs. Ria want to grind the meat as much as 1
kilogram. Then how much materials needed by Ria,
and how much it costs to be paid by Ria? If Ria
brought the money about fifty thousand rupiah, then
whether the money brought by Ria will be left over? If
so, how much the rest?
Solution :
It is known that every 250 grams of meat requires 200
grams of seasoning flour, 1 grain of chicken egg and 2
cloves of garlic. The cost required to grind 250 grams
of meat as much as ten thousand rupiah.
We know that 1 kilogram = 1000 gram then
250 x p = 1000 p=4
The p value here was the value for every multiplier in
the purchase of meatballs ingredients and the cost.
So,
For seasoning flour needed are
200 x p = 200 x 4 = 800 gram.
For eggs needed are1 x p = 1 x 4 = 4 grains.
For garlic needed are 2 x p = 2 x 4 = 8 cloves.
The fee paid are 10000 x p = 10000 x 4 = 40000.
So, the ingredients that needed by Ria to grind 1
kilogram of meat as much as 800 grams of seasoning
flour, 4 grain of chicken eggs and 8 cloves of garlic.
The cost must be paid by Ria as much as forty
thousand rupiah. So if Ria brought the money
aboutfifty thousand rupiah, then her money would be
the remaining as much as ten thousand rupiah.
If the material of algebra with the object about the
shop of grinding meatballs taught on mathematics
subject of grade 7th junior high school students, then I
want to used the Problem Based Learning model.
Where the students were given a problem, then by
discussing or exploring the information and then the
students were asked to solve problems based on the
information that has been obtained. After that, the
students were asked to explain their results of the
problem solving in front of the class.

 Toko Penggilingan Bakso

yang berada di Pasar Grogolan Baru Kota Pekalongan.

pukul 08.00 WIB. Toko tersebut buka setiap hari mulai
pukul 5 pagi sampai pukul 12 siang. Alasan dipilihnya
toko penggilingan bakso sebagai objek aljabar
matematika adalah karena pada toko ini terdapat
banyak hal yang bisa dihubungkan denga aljabar.
Selain berhubungan dengan objek geometri seperti
bentuk mesi penggiling, tetapi bahan-bahan pendukung
pembuatan bakso juga bisa menjadi bahan kajian
dalam objek aljabar.
Toko penggilingan bakso ini dapat dijadikan objek
dalam pembelajaran matematika seperti pada KD 3.8
Menjelaskan persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linear satu
variabel dan penyelesaiannya dan KD 4.8
Menyelesaikan masalah yang berkaitan dengan
persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linear satu variabelyang
diterapkan di kelas tujuh sekolah menengah pertama.
Biasanya, untuk menggiling daging dibutuhkan bahan-
bahan seperti es batu, tepung dan bumbu-bumbu lain.
Untuk setiap menggiling 250 gram daging,
membutuhkan 200 gram tepung bumbu, 1 butir telur
ayam dan 2 siung bawang putih. Sedangkan banyaknya
es batu yang dibutuhkan tergantung pada kondisi
daging. Sehingga tidak dapat ditentukan secara pasti.
Kemudian untuk biaya setiap penggilingan 250 gram
daging adalah sepuluh ribu rupiah. (Sudah termasuk
biaya untuk bahan-bahan lain).
Pada hari Kamis, 21 September 2017 Ria pergi ke
pasar Grogolan Baru untuk menggiling daging dan
membuat bakso.1 Ria akan menggiling daging sebanyak
1 kilogram. Maka, berapakah bahan-bahan
yang dibuthkan oleh Ria? Dan berapa rupiahkah yang
harus dibayarkan oleh Ria? Jika Ria membawa uang
lima puluh ribu rupiah, maka apakah uang yang dibawa
Ria akan sisa? Jika iya, maka berapakah sisanya?
Penyelesaian:
Diketahui bahwa setiap menggiling 250 gram daging
dibutuhkan 200 gram tepung bumbu, 1 butir telur ayam
dan 2 siung bawang putih.
Kita tahu bahwa 1 kilogram = 1000 gram. Maka
250 x p = 1000 p=4
Nilai p disini adalah nilai kelipatan untuk setiap bahan
dan biaya yang diperlukan.
Jadi, untuk tepung bumbu yang dibutuhkan adalah
200 x p = 200 x 4 = 800 gram.
Untuk telur yang dibutuhkan adalah
1 x p = 1 x 4 = 4 butir.
Untuk bawang putih yang dibutuhkan adalah
2 x p = 2 x 4 = 8 siung.
Biaya yang harus dibayarkan adalah
10000 x p = 10000 x 4 = 40000.
Jadi, bahan-bahan yang dibutuhkan Ria untuk
menggiling 1 kilogram daging adalah 800 gram tepung
bumbu, 4 butir telur ayam dan 8 siung bawang putih.
Biaya yang harus dibayarkan Ria sebesar empat puluh
ribu rupiah. Jika Ria membawa uang lima puluh ribu
rupiah, maka uang yang dibawa Ria akan sisa sebesar
sepuluh ribu rupiah.
Jika materi aljabar dengan objek berupa
penggilingan bakso akan diajarkan pada mata pelajaran
matematika kelas tujuh sekolah menengah pertama,
maka saya akan menggunakan model Problem Based
Learning.Dimana siswa akan saya ajak untuk
mengamati suatu permasalahan, kemudian dengan
berdiskusi atau mengumpulkan informasi maka siswa
dapat menemukan pemecahan dari masalah yang
diberikan dengan berdasar informasi yang telah mereka
dapatkan. Setelah itu mereka diminta untuk maju ke
depan kelas dan menjelaskan solusi permasalahan yang
mereka dapatkan.
