Lesson idea implementation: The teacher will show the students the review of the water cycle video after a
few days of learning the water cycle parts. The students will then be separated into groups of 2 or 3. Each
group will choose a step in the water cycle from a basket of papers randomly. They will take the step they pick
and research more in depth of what that step does in the water cycle. The students will be asked to create a
PowerPoint, movie, audio file, or paper that presents all their findings. These will then be uploaded to the class
blog. They will also be presenting these presentations that they created to another class who will be doing the
same activities. The other class will be sharing as well. After completing all the tasks they are to do, the
students will be asked to go home and study all of the presentations uploaded to the class blog to study for
their test the following Monday. This project will take 3-4 days to complete to give time to research, create,
and present. The teacher will observe their presentations of their final products to assess the students on their
work.
