Describe how you would use the Online Project/Collaboration Site/Publishing
Opportunity in your classroom: I will use this site to connect with another class that is in
another state. I will connect all my students with another student in one of the classes in
order for them to communicate through emails. I will want them to share with each other
stories they have written and want them to give each other feedback on each of theirs.
What technologies would be required to implement this proposed learning activity
in a classroom? Computers, laptops, iPads, and internet connection
Describe how the following features are addressed in this learning experience
(note: all of them may not be addressed in the project, but most should be if you are
reaching a high LoTi Level.):

a. Collaboration with peers, near-peers, mentors outside their classroom

and often beyond their school: Their collaboration will consist of all students
connecting with one another to share projects they have written giving feedback
to both of them. Teachers will assess students as they work together on
improving each others writing.

b. Student-centered learning and knowledge creation (collecting original

data and or producing original products as a result of engaging in the
project): Students will produce original products in order for them to connect
with another student on how to improve their writing. They will be able
to chose what kind of writing they would like to produce just as long as it is
appropriate.

c. Higher-order thinking: Students will be applying their knowledge in order

to form a discussion with their ePal. Doing this allows students to use their high-
order thinking skills to give feedback to them as well.

d. Students publishing their original work to others who will use/care

about their product: Students will write a story of their choice and will be able
to share it online with their ePal and they will then be able to give each other
feedback.

Remembering Understanding Applying Analyzing Evaluating Creating

What Level of Technology Implementation best describes this learning activity and
Why? I believe that this puts them at a level 5 because of all of the interactions between
others outside of school as well as during school. They are getting to the publishing level
but not quite there yet.
How could you implement this proposed learning experience and still comply with
your districts Internet Safety and Student Privacy policies? I will review my districts
Internet Safety and Student Privacy policies to ensure they are not violating any of them. I
will be monitoring each students computer at school and will send a note home to parents
to work with their children when they are told to do this outside of school.
