    Procedure:

    1. Coveroneglassbottlewiththewhitepaperarounditusingcellotapetoholditon.
    2. Coverthesecondglassbottleusingtheblackpaper.
    3. Fillboththeglassbottleswithequalamountofwater.
    4. Placetheglassbottlesinthesunforacoupleofhours.
    5. Aftersometimemeasurethetemperatureofthewaterinboththeglassbottles.

    Observation:Whenyoumeasurethetemperatureofthewaterinboththeglassbottlesyouwillfind
    thatwaterintheglassbottlewithblackpaperarounditishotterthanthewaterintheotherglass
    bottle.

    Conclusion:Darksurfaces(heretheblackpaper)absorbmorelightandheatthanthelighterones(here
    thewhitepaper).Lightersurfacesreflectmorelightandabsorblessheat.Thisisthereasonwhypeople
    wearlightcolouredclothesinsummer.Thesekeepthemcooler.
