Curaao Diving Industry

Economic Impact Study

Introduction
As a result of the Dive World Cafe facilitated by CHATA
and CTB earlier this year, the Curacao Dive Task Force by
CHATA took the lead to execute one of the priorities for
the sector which was to prepare an Economic Impact Study
of the Diving Industry of Curaao.

The Curaao Dive Task Force developed a survey with

the assistance and expertise of the world renowned Dive
Training Magazine. The survey was sent out to 40+ dive
centers in Curaao by Dive Training Magazine and the results
were collected and processed. In total 19 dive centers
responded, which is considered above the industry and
research average of qualified data. The following report
summarizes the answers and conclusions of the research that
was done based on the surveys received.

Note: Due to the acquired sample, some adjustments to

these numbers were included to create an overall economic
impact.
