complete specific tasks.
(A). Identify the specific uses for various types of technology
and digital resources.
Content

i. Create, edit, and format a document with texts and


graphics.
ii. Create and present multimedia presentations.
Activity At the beginning of the class, in their notebooks, students will
be given about 3-5 minutes to respond to the prompt what is
technology?. An opportunity to share some of their responses
with the class will be given. After that the teacher will explain
what technology is. Students will also be asked to mention any
types/forms of technology, for example, phones, drones,
computers, robots, etc. and how theyve impacted mankind.
The lesson will then shift to one form of technology,
computers! On a computer-projected smartboard, I will load
mystorybook web 2.0 page, which will become the essence
of the lesson. Therefore, as I explain through, I will also show
them how to navigate the different sections of mystorybook,
for example, add/delete a page/text to their book, how to
save/publish their work. Additionally, theyll be taught the
steps to creating, editing, and formatting a document with text
and graphics. At this point theyll need to jot some notes-
(notes will be posted on the board as well). Students will be
shown how to resize graphics, (not only those already in
mystorybook., even their own graphics. Theyll be taught
and shown how to upload images on the computer and use
them), while at the same time have some room for text.
After the instruction, students will use the knowledge theyve
received to create their own masterpiece. Two volunteer
students will give out laptops to individual students. An email
and a unique password will be provided. Upon powering on
their laptops (assuming theyve internet access) and loading
internet explorer, a URL website will already have been posted

on the board thus theyll type it in their web address bar,


which, if typed correctly, should be able to take them straight
to the web 2.0 application theyll be working on.

On mystorybook.com, they will create a document with a
topic of their own choice, so long as its approved by the
teacher.
Topics can range from family, places, movie, sports, -self,
hobby, etc., however, they,
1. cannot copy text from a webpage and use it
2. cannot copy each others work, even though the topics
are the same.
While the assignment is an independent activity, there should
be no talking amongst themselves. Students will be allowed to
seek help from the teacher accordingly.
Once the entire class is done, theyll be able to present their
work to the entire class by using the teachers computer to
project their work on a smartboard.

Students will be able to create their own document by typing


the web address shown below in their internet explorers web
address bar.
