WORLD CANCER DAY CAMPAIGN

On the occasion of World Cancer Day i.e. Feb 4th St.Peter s Institute of
Pharmaceutical Sciences in association with IPA- SFStudents Chapter
Hanamkonda branch , Rohini Super Speciality hospitals in collaboration with
National Services Schemes has organised a cancer awareness program at
different maincentres in hanamkonda Warangal . In Rohini super specialty
hospital program was inaugurated by Dr. Sudhakar reddy, superintendent of
Rohini superspeciality hospitals. In TMC Centre it was inaugurated by Dr. Bucchi
Reddy and nearTirumala Tirupati Devastanam it was inaugurated by Dr. Ajay,
general physician.

Students,, professors, nurses have actively participated in enlightening the


general public about what is cancer , how is it caused , what are the
symptoms ,what are the precautions to be taken to prevent cancer . The main
theme is we can I canto fight against cancer. Campaign mainly highlights about
things causing cancer like smoking, alcohol and food that can prevent cancer .The
information was provided to around 300 people through innovativeplacards,
slogans, charts, eco-friendly flex and pamphlets. People have shown great interest
enthusiasm to know about cancer, how to know the early symptoms to consult a
doctor and how to prevent cancer. They have asked many questions and were
