Conflict 1

I would begin by the first conflict I mentioned in the previous assignment. As I oversaw the

distribution of the meat. So, I wanted to carry it out honestly and fairly. The position I took in my

conflict with other person had the underlying value of fairness and equality. What he wanted was

to make me do something which would be a violation to the other person standing in line to wait

there turn. If I would have entertained his request, then I would not have been able to say no to

others as well. I had to comply with rules. If I would have made an exception, then other members

or even the staff would have asked to provide meat to people they know. The values dilemmas I

faced was that I wanted to be fair and show equality to everybody.

Conflict 2

In the second conflict I mentioned I took my position on my moral values. My brother thought

that betting was right, and I thought otherwise. I wanted him to change his habit of betting. But

he wanted his own individual freedom without thinking about the consequences faced by us. So,

my moral values of rightness collided with his values. I did not want the burden of talking to him

again and again to ask him to rectify his actions. He considered betting rational, but I thought

otherwise. We both had our freedom to choose. So, I withdrew from the conflict and deal with

our own lives.
