Mexican Corruption

Many people from around the world know how big corruption is in Mexico, in

recent years theres been many cases in Mexico over governors, police, and politics. What makes

it stranger than anything is as the time passes by, the corruption in Mexico keeps increasing

instead of decreasing. Punishment for all these people committing so much corruption in Mexico

are very lenient. The correct punishment there should be for all these criminals should be to be in

jail as much time as needed and not be forgiving what they did. Because their crimes affect

people in their city because they lose a lot of money and help from the city.

Many Authorities from Mexico or even the same people from the community who

are being affected wont expose that politics are stealing money or having bad actions towards

the city, for the reason that they dont want to make the city have a bad reputation and people

around the world or country wont think bad about the city. the real problem here is they dont

say anything and they make the city even more corrupt and the country as well they affect

everyone else by hiding it.

Years keep passing by and Mexico is getting more and more well-known over their world

for one exact reason and its not education, sports or tourism in the country Its corruption. In

any city, any state there can be found a current corruption case being fought in court. The real

problem is the punishments being given to all these governors and politicians are too lenient its

not enough for the crime they commit. In the source Corruption at a Level of Audacity Never

seen in Mexico by the New York Times talks about how there was 5 different governors from 5

different states who were able to get past the Mexican authorities and leave the country to

hide(Malkin). This shows us how Mexican authorities let go of them so easily they and then

cant find them Or some other authorities receive money from them and collaborate and help

them get out of the problems they are in The source tells us five years later these governors

were found in Guatemala by the Guatemala Police (Malkin). Took five years to get ahold of

these criminals and to start off it wasnt even the Mexican police. By all this means that Mexican

police or any kind of authority is not looking or trying hard enough to find these criminals or

arent really important to them.

In another article found online in Huffington post named Corruption in Mexico, written

by Shannon K. ONeil. She talks about how political parties during governor elections or just

any election shows to the public media the corruption the other parties have caused before and

not to vote for them (ONeil). ONeil tells us in this article Actual political parties show the

Mexican authorities who committed the crime and what the crime was and the punish they give

is they cant be elected, Really? Thats not the correct punishment. (ONeil) Here ONeil shows

us how Mexican authorities are scared to make the right move to stop this and tell us the

decisions they make are the incorrect ones to the situation. Im completely in favor with her

Those are not the correct punishments for these crimes. More on into the article it speaks on how

much money some governors from Veracruz stole 20 million pesos off from the state money to

use it for their personal lives and went on to be only five years in jail(ONeil). Five years in Jail

for a huge amount of money that the population of Veracruz couldve gotten a huge Help from

and its for the city to grow and theyre using it to buy themselves the life they want while all the

other people there suffer.

The Article Mexico-9-Corruption Talks about how certain governors have paid police

employees and military guys to let them out of jail or out of high security prisons for committing

the crime of corruption so they go into jail for corruption and they come out doing the same thing

this article mentions Several soldiers and police men have given interviews to magazines with

huge names to talk about getting paid to let governors out of prison , They give Specific names

of governors involved in this kind of act and exposed them but this man keep themselves as

unknown (Us Department of commerce). Not only governors but even policeman and militaries

are committing this crime and Mexican authorities dont even do nothing even though the

governors are being exposed. At the very end of the article it says two of the governors involved

in this kind of act were still elected for a second term (US Department of commerce). At the end

none of this reveling up names of governors stopped them from getting back to office and thats

how Mexico becomes more and more corrupt. Its to be said on The Article Mexico-9-

Corruption that the governor of Jalisco from was accepting money from narcos so they could

keep doing their business and keep trafficking drug through Jalisco

In an article written by the Daily Beast it talks on how one Governor from the state of

Chiapas stole 35 million off the state fundings and used it to build his home and give to his

family from the united States after this the governor was punished with a year for every million

he stole off the state so that was 35 years but in reality he spend only 2 years in jail for the reason

that, that money was never found. Article claims that it was too much of a punishment for a

governor it mentions Money comes and goes but life theres only one (Noel). The author was

claiming that the Governor is going to spend in average half of his life in jail for money that can

be gotten back in matter of time and life you only get one. The author is completely right but out

of this fundings many people in the state make a living out of and how many people or the city

lost thanks to him instead he lost nothing and could pay his jail to be bailed out because

supposable this money was never found in his house.

How come we dont know that Mexican government and police and military and all the

Mexican authorities help him get out of this one we dont but it can probably be it since Mexico

is ranked as one of the most corrupt countries in the world and this could just be another case of

corruption stacking over another case of corruption, well probably never know but what we

know is that punishment for corruption in Mexico shouldnt be as lenient if they want to stop

being a country well-known for one bad reason, just for the fact that they dont want Mexico to

be looked as a corrupt country they wont expose all the corruption and at the end Mexico ends

up being one of the most corrupt countries for all these hiding they do. Criminals need to be

punish so Mexico can become a safe and equal country.
