Brief Popplet is a website and app where
instruction you can make web diagrams. You can
s of how to add collaborators to it, share it using
use the the link or make it public. To make an
tool account you just need your name,
email address, and a password. With a
free account, you can only make ten
popplets. However it is pretty
affordable, you can get unlimited
poppets for $3 a month or $30 a year.
They also offer school subscriptions.
They have example poppets you can
look at for inspiration. Once you are
ready to create your popplet, you click
your popplets, then make new popplet.
It will ask you to name it and pick a
background color, then take you to a
blank page. There you can add boxes.
Inside the boxes you can add text,
pictures, drawings, and links. You can
adjust the size on each box, connect
the boxes, or leave them free floating.
You can click share, then add
collaborator. This allows you to type in
someone elses name or email and
allow them to work on your popplet
with you. Once youve finished your
popplet you can share it using the link
or make it public.

Ideas for Elementary Students:

how the A third grade class with access
tool can be to computers or tablets could
used in PK- use this to make web diagrams
12 before they start writing an
essay. They could put the topic
in the middle and the
supporting ideas in the
surrounding squares. Then they
can share their popplet using
the link to a partner classmate,
who can make corrections on it.
A class of first graders can use
poppet when learning about
goods and services. The
teacher can pair them up and
get them set up where they are
collaborating on popplet. One

can add pictures of goods,
while the other one adds
pictures of services. The
teacher can also make herself a
collaborator, so she can easily
see what they are doing. That
way she can go over and
redirect if they are confused.
This would be an easy way to
introduce students to making
presentations.
Middle and High School Students:
A sixth grade class learning
about ecosystems, can break
up into groups of three. The
teacher should assign each
group an ecosystem and they
can collaborate on popplet to
make a presentation. At the
end they will present it to the
class

All Students:
The teacher could use this to
present a lesson, if she wanted
to switch it up from using
powerpoint or prezi.

Positives Positives:

of using You can see who worked on
the tool each part.
Pictures can be added.
Links can be added.
Videos can be added
Students can still work on it
togetherwhen not at school.
They have special pricing for
classroom subscription you can
get 50 unlimited accounts for
$100 dollars a year, and it gets
cheaper the more accounts you
buy. The teacher can make all
the students accounts without
them having email addresses.
Negatives:
With a free account, you only
get to make ten popplets.
Only one basic design.
A little immature feeling for older
grades, they could do the same thing
using Prezi.
