Zinc

DR 900 Analytical Procedure AP-15/900

SPECIFICATIONS
Method: Colorimetric (DR 900)
Range: 0.02 to 3.00 ppm of Zn
Testing Time: 10 minutes

DESCRIPTION
Zinc and other metals in the sample are complexed
with cyanide. The addition of ZN-6 Reagent causes
the selective release of zinc. The zinc then reacts
with zincon (2-carboxy-2-hydroxy-5-sulfoforma-
zylbenzene) indicator. The resulting blue color is
proportional to the zinc concentration.
