In the previous paper, I wrote about Dr. Angela D. Miller. One of her

publication is Effects of classroom context variables on high school students

judgments of the acceptability and likelihood of cheating (2004) (George Mason

University, 2017). This article was published in the Journal of Educational

Psychology.

This journal is an international forum for the academic research. The article

in the journal discussed about the findings in the psychological field of education

form children who are from pre-school to children who have some different

learning needs and it provides experimental and behavioral studies (Taylor&Francis

Online, 2017). The type of writing published are research papers.

The writers who publish journals in Journal of Educational Psychology are

experts, scholars, and educators. Firstly, I want talk about experts. Experts they are

specifically focus on this discipline. They can provide some professional articles to

support this journal. Therefore, there have to be some journals which experts
wrote. The second kind of people is scholars, who want to get higher degrees. If

they want to get a higher degree in the discipline they need to write some journal

articles to show that what they are capable of. Last group of people is educators.

They want proof that they have some status in this field. Therefore, they need to

publish journal articles.

For the audience, in my opinion, are students, scholars, educators. First of all,

students always read the journal that they interested in and this journal is an

international journal. Scholars are the second kind of people that will read the

journal. Scholars are students who want a higher degree, like a Master, or a doctoral

degree. They want to analyze the research article to find out which topic has not

been researched. Thus, they can do some further research in the field to get a better

degree. Third kind of people is educators. Because of this is a journal discuss

findings of children and provide experimental and behavioral studies, and in my

opinion, many educators are interested in this journal and can provide some

solution in their discipline.

The writer who wants to publish his or her journal should have a specific

structure. According to Taylor&Francis Online (2017) in the Journal of Educational

Psychology they require many things: first, title page. In this page, the writer

should include the information that indicates writers have the permission to publish

this paper. The second part is abstract. To help the audience know what is this

journals main finding or focus. The third part is keywords. Keywords which mean

that the key point about the journal. Forth part is main text. This part should be the
main finding and provides evidence about the findings. Fifth part is references.

Every journal needs some evidence to evident their view or points so that, writers

will find some other materials to support their view, cite them in a formal way, and

put the materials in the references in an APA format. Lastly, if writers have some

other appendices, tables or captions writers should provide them on individual

pages.

In conclusion, according to previous paragraphs want to be a scholar in my

discipline have many requirements. The purpose/vision/mission of the journal

article should be very clear and we need to provide some topic that has not been

published. For types of writing published, after students decided the topic that we

interested in, we need to decide which type should we write. This will make the

goal clearer. Before we write, we need to decide the topic, and, in my view, the

focus of the topic will affect who will read the article. For example, if the focus is

pre-school children, the audience will be a scholar, educators, and maybe some

parents because pre-school education becomes more and more important these

days. Many families do not want their children to lose at the start line, so that many

parents send their children to take extra classes and let them learn knowledge that

they will learn in the future. So that the audience will be different. The structure of

the paper is depending on which journal that writers want to publish, because of the

different journal, different discipline has different requirements. For meeting that

requirement, writers should recompose their article again and again. Besides these,

in my opinion, perseverance is also an important part not only in my discipline but

also for all the writers who want to publish their works.
