Mission Statement Stemrobo

The mission of STEMROBO training is to empower all students in the mastery of STEM skills leading to
viable and attainable 21st century career options.

About STEMROBO at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Jairampur

Here at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Jairampur our STEMROBO training has embraced the view that
academic content should be taught through inter-disciplinary studies. Students will be immersed in rich,
meaningful, STEM experiences through interdisciplinary coursework applied in the context of the real world.
Students will not only learn to apply knowledge, but they will also learn about a wide range of STEM careers,
develop professional communication skills, and develop their ability to apply technology to real world situations.
STEMROBO at VKV Jairampur will lead students to develop the skills that they will need in order to succeed in
the 21st century.

Why STEM Education Is Important For Everyone?

Science, Technology, Engineering and MathematicsSTEM, and therefore, STEM educationare vital to
our futurethe future of our country, the future of our region and the future of our children. Be-sides, STEM

CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK OF STEMROBO TRAINING
STEMROBO is a Unique Methodology. We nurture Innovation and Creativity in Education through Innovative
Models and Methodology around STEM-Robotics (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Robotics) Our
blending methodology bridges the gap between Industry & Academia at School level and the aim is to prepare
students for real life challenges by providing Industry skill sets by state of art training and promoting innovations
at early stage. We have developed the system which complements the current educational system with fun to
do Activity & Project Based Learning focused around Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics &
Robotics.

STEMROBO Project Based Learning

The Project Based Learning (PBL) approach is focused on providing students a complete platform and support
to apply and connect the Theoretical Learning with the World outside by making and designing their own
Innovative Project Models. To enable children to become motivated and engaged in STEM fields through
observation, experimentation, inference drawing, model building and working and solving Real World Problem
with an effective usage of concepts of Physics, Electronics, Hardware, Computer Software, Analytics etc. The
objective is to create a culture of thinking, inventing and analysis to promote enquiry based learning in Schools.
STEMROBO assist students to take part in National & International Technical Events/Competitions (e.g. Google
Science Fair, Robotics Competitions etc.)

HANDS ON LEARNING
The effectiveness of hands-on learning, for example through construction, has been well documented for many
years. Today neuroscience is able to document even more precisely how physical and active involvement in
experiences stimulates the brain and improves the quality of learning.
There is a growing recognition that people primarily think and learn through experiences they have had, rather
than through abstract calculations and generalizations. We store our experiences in memory and use them to
run simulations in our minds to prepare for problem solving in new situations. These simulations help us form
hypotheses about how to proceed in the new situation based on past experiences.
It is difficult to store and reflect upon abstract thoughts, as the brain does not have a memorable experience to
retrain and work with and yet a significant proportion of teaching efforts still rely on delivering knowledge in this
dis-connected way. While the STEMROBO System for Learning cannot solve all of the challenges that educators
face, it is a fact that building representations of ideas, problems, and knowledge with STEMROBO activities and
digital tools provides students with an experience that is concrete and with learning that is memorable.

HANDS-ON LEARNING IS REAL

HANDS-ON LEARNING KEEPS KIDS FOCUSED.

HANDS-ON LEARNING FOSTERS CREATIVITY.

HANDS-ON LEARNING INSPIRES TEAMWORK.

HANDS-ON LEARNING ENCOURAGES FAILURE.

HANDS-ON LEARNING LETS STUDENTS BECOME THE TEACHERS.

HANDS-ON LEARNING IS FUN!

STEM Technovation Lab & STEMROBO Customized Club

We have devised range of pedagogical approaches to teaching. Its core premises include the
requirement that learning should be based on doing some hands-on experiments and activities.
The idea of Activity & Project-based learning is rooted in the common notion that children are
active learners rather than passive recipients of information.

STEMROBOTICS Educational Benefits

Robotics requires learning about engineering. Without knowing the relevant principles, the student will not be
able to keep their robot standing or get it to move. The information learned for the project will form a foundation
that can be used for many other engineering problems.
Math is needed to figure out the operating aspects of the robot. The desire to make the robot work will
motivate students to do math problems they would otherwise think of as hideously boring. Students will also
learn how math applies to the real world.
Robotics teams allow students to work with each other on goal-oriented projects. This will help them apply
teamwork to real-world scenarios rather than just sports.
Robotics competitions provide much more motivation to learn and attain excellence than simple test scores.
Everyone loves to win, while only a few students are truly internally motivated by the idea of getting good
grades. Robotics, as a whole, is a technological subject. Making robots will get students familiar with
technology and how it works together.
