1 AxSTREAM Software Installation

1.1 AxSTREAM installation package
AxSTREAMsoftwaresetuputilityinstallsacompletesetofAxSTREAMturbomachinerydesignsoftware.
ThepackageisdeliveredasexecutableAxStream_Setup_v<X>.<Y>.<Z>.<bbb>.exefile
WhereXstandsforAxSTREAMgeneration,Ystandsforreleaseversion,Zforversionofupdateandbbb
isbuildnumber.
1.2 Installation procedure

1.2.1 AxSTREAM installation with Personal License
TouseAxSTREAMwithaPersonalLicense,AxSTREAMsoftwaremustbeinstalledonacomputeron
whichAxSTREAMwillrun.
ThePersonalLicenseisboundtotheselectedcomputerconfiguration(isPClocked)andcantbe
transferredtoanothercomputer.
1.2.2 Hardware and software requirements

AxSTREAMcanbeinstalledonanycomputerwithWindows2000,WindowsXPSP3,VISTA32/64bit,
Windows732/64bitOS.TheLicenseServercanbeinstalledonWindows2000/XPSP2,Windows7
32/64bitOS,WindowsServer2000/2003/2008platforms.
AxSTREAMinstallationrequiresaboutof20MBoffreediscspace.ComputeronwhichAxSTREAMwill
runshouldbeprovidedwithnetworkadaptorandTCP/IPprotocolinstalled.Videocardshouldsupport
OpenGL.
Note:AxSTREAM has to be installed so that the user has rights to create files in AxSTREAM
installation directory.
Knownproblems:
Somegraphicadaptorscouldproduceoddvisualeffects.Atthesametime,theonlyadaptorof
thatkindknownis3DlabsWildcatIII6110.Foranyproblem,pleaseconsult
tech_support@softinway.comformoredetails.
AvoidtheuseofPCwithFarEasternlocalizationi.e.Chinese,Korean,Japan,etc.UseOSwith
US/Europeanlocalization.
