Hello, my name is Reginald Reggie Stinson or Mr. S/Stinson to my 8th graders!

I joined Teach for America (TFA) in the fall of 2016 and moved to Las Vegas from Chicago, IL.
Im currently pursing my Masters in Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas
(UNLV). I received my undergraduate degree in Consumer Economics from the University of
Georgia (UGA), go dawgs! Prior to teaching, Ive worked in several different occupational
fields, the most recent being Alliant Credit Union, formerly known as American Airlines Credit.
In that position I was a Member Service Representative (MSR). Ive worked for Chase Bank as a
mortgage underwrite, for Lending Solutions Inc. in Chicago as an Indirect Underwriter, for
United Bank, located in Griffin, GA as a Loss Mitigations Specialist. And two weeks after
graduating from high school in Georgia with dual endorsements in college preparatory and
vocational studies, I joined the U.S. Army for five years. There I was blessed to travel and see
much of this country and the world, working as an Air Traffic Controller for the U. S. Army.
Heres some interesting facts about me:
Ive driven on the Autobahn in Germany multiple times.
Ive lived in eight states - Georgia, Virginia, S. Carolina, N. Carolina, Alabama,
California, Illinois, and Nevada.
I enjoy traveling, that was a great perk of the armed forces. Ive lived/visited Germany,
Paris, France, Ireland, and Bonn.
I love to run and participate in challenging outdoor events.

With this being my first year of teaching, Im excited, exhausted, a bit anxious, but mainly
excited to engage, inspire, and motivate my students to do and be their very best.

Heres to a great year!

All the best,

Mr. S/Stinson
