1. Introduction

Sunshine Kids Care (SKC) is requesting sealed from qualified individuals for Childcare
Provider for Sunshine Kids Care Center.

Our programs offer enriching learning opportunities in a fun environment for growing
school-age children. Our services include before-school and after-school care, and
exciting summer camp programs for school age children up to 5th grade.

SKC intends to contract a qualified childcare provider for the Childrens Center, that can
offer a nurturing and educational program for school age children that ensures optimal
physical, social, and emotional development of each enrolled child. Provider must
demonstrate clear evidence that he/she has experience in early care and education.
Sunshine Kids Care requires that the individual is able to:

provide a safe, healthy and nurturing environment; ensure the optimal physical,
social, emotional and intellectual development of each child.
assist each child in the development of positive self-worth through personal
successes and positive reinforcement

and

develop partnerships with families and the community

2. Statement of purpose
Sunshine Kids Care offers kids care that works with the availability of the Parent/
Guardian. We Understand that Parents/ Guardians work late hours and at times dont
have the opportunity to drop off the kids at school or to pick them up.
What we provide:
Care for your child
Homework help
Full Meal and a snack
Transportation to and from school
Safe learning environment

Sunshine Kids Center shall provide care for school aged children from Kinder through
5th grade. Provider shall adhere to the following staff-child ratios at all times.

K-1st 1:8 8-16


2nd-3rd 1:10 20-30
4th-5th 1:12 12-24

Describe how Provider communicates the details of the curriculum and


daily activities to families.

Curriculum must include the following components:

social-emotional development
physical development
language development
early literacy
mathematics
science
technology
health and safety
social studies

Describe how Provider will ensure that children have many and varied open-
ended opportunities and material to express themselves creatively through
music, drama, dance and art.
Describe how the materials and equipment used to implement the curriculum will
reflect diversity, including gender, ethnicity, age, culture, language, and abilities.
Include a typical daily schedule for each age group. (This may include 1 hour of
recess, and 1 hour for meal and snack.)

3. Background
In 2010, Sunshine kids care was constructed at 123 S. Kids at Play Drive.
Approximately 6,500 sq. ft. in size, the building contains five childrens classrooms,
childrens library, indoor gym, conference room, staff lounge, cafeteria, Directors office,
reception area, observation rooms, and storage rooms. The outdoor playground space
is approximately 10,000 sq. ft.

At Sunshine Kids Care we are dedicated to providing elementary students kindergarten


through 5th grade a safe environment where students receive the tools necessary for
them to succeed in school. Through homework help and hands on activities the ultimate
goal is to enrich every childrens education and encourage them to improve. The type of
environment at Sunshine Kids Care encourages kids to be creative, express themselves,
and most of all to lets kids be kids.

4. Requirements
All applicants should be able to execute the following schedule .
1. Sign in (30 min.)
2. Recess (45-60 min.)
3. Bathroom Break (20 min.)
4. Meal/ Homework/ Self-Selection (60 min.)
5. Activity (1 hour)
6. Snack
7. Reading/ Nap time

Applicants require first aid training as well as CPR certification. Applicants will also be
required to plan the month activity and remain on schedule for activities. Applicants will
also have to work with team members to plan and execute a family night where all staff
are to share the work they have done with their group of students.

5. Contract work
The initial term will be for three (3) years with the possibility of two (2) successive
one (1) year renewals, for a total term not to exceed five (5) years. Pay will be
determined based on experience. All work will take place at our Albuquerque
center on 123 S. Kids at Play Drive.

6. Schedule
Proposals will be evaluated on the following criteria, listed in order of their relative
priority with most important listed first:

ALL PROPOSALS ARE DUE WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 15, 2017 5:00 P.M., MST.
THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS AND A HARD COPY IS REQUIRED TO BE
DROPPED OFF AT THE SUNSHINE KIDS CARE FACILITY AS WELL AS A COPY
EMAILED TO THE PROVIDED EMAIL (Page 1).
