Education is a life-long process of learning and becoming an efficient
and effective teachers with their strategies, tactics and teaching styles.
It is time of trial and error for growing confidence and beginning
expertise. It is not a time of perfection but striving for competence. Through
student teaching, is a process whereby a potential teachers confirm to herself
and others that she as the resourcefulness to survive with educator, you must
first understand the value of continuous learning because this would be the
teachers tool in molding individuals into a better and more competitive one.
The first major step in moving from amateur status towards gaining
competencies that mark the real professional is the student teaching
opportunities to the educational theories and methods into practice.
Student teaching is the first and foremost a learning situation. This is
the craft before she has to put her skills on the lime in her own classroom.
This is the student teachers chance to learn from her mistakes without
causing harm to her student. This is the time for her to find out an actual
teaching situation, the prospect teacher gain more experience that would serve
as their credential in their part.
As we all know that teaching is a noble profession. It requires a long
preparation and more training sessions for them to be equipped in facing the
real environment that awaits them in the near future.
Student teaching serves as an internship in the profession education
where theories, knowledge, attitudes and skills develop through course work
and obeservation are fused into more meaningful interpretation through
practical experience in actual teaching situation.
A Teachers Meditation
Esther Lloyd Dauber
What wonders do I see in thee
O little child who comes to me,
And looks into my eyes as though
Youll find the truths you want to know.

Such questions, child, I wish to know

Just how to answer them for you.
Yes, how I long for wisdom too,
When questions come to me and you.

Who made the starts? What is the moon?

Why does it rain? What time is noon?
Who put the clouds up in the sky?
What makes the trees grow up so high?

Why do the leaves turn brown and red?

Just how are baby robins fed?
What makes me hear? How do I see?
Who put me here and who made me?

Does someone put the stars away?

Does Jesus hear the prayer I say?
How does the bee make honey combs?
Are there real fairies, elves, and gnomes?

Great wonders do I see in thee

O little child who learns from me
Dear little questioner each day
Ill confidently smile and pray.

That I shall know the things you ask

Nor weary grow in my great task,
A child to teach; come child to me
Great wonders in your mind I see.
Edwin Osgood Grove

I believe in boys and girls, the men and women of a great tomorrow;
that whatsoever the boy soweth the man shall reap. I believe in the curse of
ignorance, in the efficacy of schools, in the dignity of teaching, and in the joy
of serving others. I believe in wisdom revealed in human lives as well as in the
pages of a printed book, in lessons taught, not so much by example, in ability
to work with the hands as well as to think with the head, in everything that
makes life large and lovely.

I believe in beauty in the schoolroom, in the home, in daily life, and out-
of-doors. I believe in laughter, in love, in faith, in all ideals and distant hopes
that lure us on. I believe that every hour of every day we receive a just reward
for all we are and all we do. I believe in the present and its opportunities, in
the future and its promises and in the divine joy of living.
A smile in time to a child
Always likes by the child
A mile by a teacher in school
The children welcomes him
The smiles the signals of love
The smiles the way of life
Smiling and teaching teacher's pride
The little one's friendship he gets
When a teacher makes to be serious
The children escapes from them
When the teacher have vices
The child notices in hate
A child an innocent human being
Teaching and teachers their roll model
The slightest emotions child notices
The slightest misbehavior they can't suffer
Child, student, school, teacher,
A peculiar world of happiness.
NARRATION OF EXPERIENCE
IN
PRACTICE TEACHING
Today is the day, the most awaited challenging experience has finally come,
our Practice Teaching off campus at Osukan Elementary School. The most
important part in our studies to be in the real world of teaching. Howerver,
variuos faces of struggles and hardshsip will be waiting but I know deep inside my
heart and with Gods strength I can do it.

The first exciting day, January 18, 2016 . I woke up early with beautiful
smile on my face. I am excited though I felt nervous imagining what will be the
next to happen when we are already in the school facing the student.

I arrived exactly on time, together with my classmates our supervising

instructress went with us at Osukan Elementary School. We meet the Principal
Mr. Halasan, he was the one who designated us to different critic teachers. I was
assigned by the grade 5 section Mars and our crictic is Mrs.Laneth S. Marchan.
She was nice and very friendly, she introduced us to her class and we are so
excited. My heart keeps beating fast but I was able to overcome it because I knew
its not just the end but the beginning of challenge in our life as Student Teachers.

January 19, 2016, my second day being a student teacher, I went there very
early to supervise the student in cleaning the classroom and the surroundings
before flag ceremony. We didnt teach first, our critic gave us a chance to
obeserve first her classes. It was a great day and by that first observation I have
already an idea of the students behavior in the classroom.

January 20, 2016, I arrived early again in the school though it was very hard
for me because I have still a baby to care for before leaving at home. I tried to
managed my time to cope up with the responsibilities between my practicum and
me as a mother. Our critic let us to observe her lesson again so that we can have
more ideas on how to deliver the lesson well and also the different strategies and
techniques.

January 21, 2016, NO CLASS it was the opening of Araw ng Labason.

January 22, 2016, again I went to school early and supervise the student in
their assignd task. Another observation is being done again this day.

January 25, 2016, it was a great day because the school has its called
activity day, were different students are exposed to their different fields
according to their strength and weaknesses. They have different clubs for every
subject. I was assigned to conduct the English club which is reading. Students who
are poor in reading will be given a reading materials to read and study. It was
tiring day afterall but learning always takes place.

january 26, 2016, my second week at Osukan Elementary School, I felt more
comfortable already with environment and the student. It was also the day that
our critic gave our first topic to be taught the next day.

January 27, 2016, the day where I was assigned to handle already the class.
I felt nervous and conscious that I might get mistakes in speaking infront.
However, I stayed focus and concentrated as I get to be more comfortable with
the presence of our critic.

December 9-12,2015, our daily class started at 12:30 pm and ended

1:30pm, after that English subject we are being asked if we would like to teach
values also. So without hesitation we accepted the second challenge thought I am
not really a very good speaker in using Filipino language but I did overcome my
weaknesses. I was happy enough for experiences I had this week though its tiring
and stressful in preparing the lesson plan and studying the lesson but all is worth
it. We still go home with great smile on our face and laugh on our mistakes during
our class discussion.

December 14, 2015, Monday the third week of our practice teaching and
the last week of school days in December. We have a short meeting with our
students regarding the christmas party. Everyone is so excited and happy. I am
also happy because I can see the students cooperating and giving pledges.

The following days were exciting for the christmas, as student teacher we
assisted them in their plans. We have regular class with them already, like in the
real world of teaching, it feels like we own them already as our students and that
made me overcome the stressful days.

December 16, 2015, the christmas party. I went to school early and help the
students in preparing the tables, chairs and foods. We have also games prepared
for the students and upong knowing it they were very excited and happy. We
have Maria went to town, Blowing of flour with coins, eggplant and egg and
statue dance. We also have King and Queen of party. Everyone is enjoying the
party and our critic too was happy too observed us with the students.

January 5, 2015, class started again. Early in the morning as I woke up I felt
the stress already. I went to school very early and attended the flag ceremony
with the students. We have cleaned the surroundings first and the classroom
before the class started. I didnt made a lesson plan for that day so I just made an
outline for my lesson. And thank God I make it.

Everyday is another day, another new lesson, another lesson plan and
another discussion. Tiring but I have to do it, when I have my class in English ate
felisarta also had her class in values education. We just help each other everyday
and we do it alternately. I love teaching and eventhough there was time I felt like
giving up I just have to think that there is learning takes place everyday with
students and with my part too.

January 19-24, 2015, our town celebrated Araw ng Labason, we attend the
town parade. We dont have regular class this week because students were busy
joining the different competitions and activities. Good for me because I stayed
home with my kids and had time for them.

January 26-31, Early in the morning we receive an announcement that the

principal would like to meet us in the afternoon. We have no idea what was it all,
we beat scared and wonder maybe weve done somethig wrong in their school.
We met the new installed School Principal Mr. Fernando Malazarte. He was so
nice and I love the way he talked with us. He then scheduled our final
demonstration and right after that meeting each of us were like carrying some
sacks of rice on our shoulder. We dont have any subject matter yet, I was really
confused on what topic would i choose to.

February 2-6, 2015, I continue my responsibilties as pratice teacher, I teach

English and Values everyday. I have no lesson plan yet for the final demonstration
but I have already choices on which topic will have in final teaching. During our
lunch we have a short meeting with my classmates about the contribution of our
final demo. The week is so stressful because we made our daily lesson plan and
we finalized also the lesson plan for final demonstration. So tiring!!

February 9-13, 2015, preparation for our final demo, I already gathered all
the materials needed and prepared. I dont have enough sleep and woke up early
just to finished everything. Tuesday in the morning we had our dry run already at
Southern Peninsula College, we asked some teachers to observe us during our dry
run so we will be corrected.

Thursday our dry run again in our coordinating school, where final
corrections being made. After that, by Friday we didnt go back to the school
again, our critic gave us more time to finalized everything including our materials
needed already for final demonstration.

February 16, 2015, Monday. This is it, this is the moment, the day where we
have to give our best of what we have in our years in college. When I was at home
I prayed and prayed to our Almighty God, to give me stregnth to fight my
weaknesses and to overcome the fast beating of my heart. I felt so much nervous.
We were being observed by mastered teachers, our critic, coordinator and our
principal.

Afterall, I did well, I knew deep within my heart that I given my best and its
all worth it. I was so happy when our critic teacher extended her hands and
congratulates me while saying Excellent. I am so proud and right at that
moment I uttered the words which I keep it for a long time. I made it.
