designrecommendationsforinstitutions.:
1.Initiatethenewdifferentbuildspacesthatpromoteactivitiestobuildnewrelationships.This
recommendationiscenteredontheideaofenablingstudentstotakepartinunexpectedactivitiesthat
mayprovideopportunitiesfornewinteractionsatwhatevergiventime.Suchinstancesinclude,butare
notlimitedto,unexpectedencounterswithpeers,faculty,andartifactswithinthegivenbuilding.
2.CreateanchorpointsthatserveashubsSuchdesignfocusesoncreatingpointsofgreater
visibilityofpeopleandspacetoprovidestudentswithahigherleveloftransparencywithregardsto

3.BuildinrecessThestudyfoundthatmostfirstyearstudentsspendagoodamountoftime
studying,thuspreventingthemfromfellowstudentinteraction.Inordertopromoteabetterinformation
retentionrate,aswellaspositivestudentinteraction,thisdesignconcepttakesintoconsiderationthe
ideaoftakingstudybreaks.Thismodellooksatbuildinganareawherestudentsarepromotedtotake
breakswithouthavingtoleavethebuilding.Itisconcentratedonacceptingthenotionofrecessand
providingstudentswithspaceswheretheycango,withoutaspecificreason,thatoffersareleasefrom
collegiatepressures.
4.AllowformultipleproximitysettingbytheuserGivenuniversityspacesareallcommunal
