MGA Meeting Minutes November 16, 2017

Discussion Topics:
Reviewed the Alliance tournament. There were more Burden Flight players
The new course ratings are on the GHIN system.
New score cards showing the updated course ratings have been ordered.
Ballots for election of MGA Committee members are available in the Pro Shop. The
candidates are Hal Morgan, Doyle Gantt, and Scott Petit.
Year End Scramble Saturday December 2, 2017 10:00am Shotgun:
Format - Play will consist of 3 - man teams. MGA members ($30 + CF) and non-
members ($45+CF) welcome competing in a scramble (Captains Choice) format.
Sign up on- line @ Foretees>events>MGA Year End. Each team must use a minimum of
4 drives from each player. There are no handicap restrictions for this tournament. Gross
and net prizes will be awarded in each flight.
Flights - Players will play from the tees where their current handicap has been
established. If participation allows the event will be flighted by handicap.
Special Offerings - Participants are invited to enjoy a complimentary MGA breakfast in
Mulligans from 7:30 to 9:00am. Please pick up your complimentary certificate at the
registration table prior to enjoying your MGA breakfast. A gratuity is not included,
please leave a tip.
Prizes and payout - Tournament winnings will be paid to approx. 40% of field. In
addition to tournament winnings, after play, there will be drawings for door prizes, and
for the 60/40 cash raffle.
Closest to the Pin contests will be held on all Par 3's. Any player making a Hole-in-one
on a Par 3 will receive an Ace Adventures trip to one of a select group of ClubCorp
destinations.
Post round drawings and awards will be held in Mulligan's after play.
Year-End Dinner December 6, 2017
Price - $18.00.
Menu prime rib cut to order, mashed potatoes, vegetable, roll and butter, and desert.
Cocktails at 5:45pm dinner at 7:00pm.
Special guest Lexie Milford (formerly Brent) from First Tee of Aiken will be speaking at
6:45.
Sign up for 2018 MGA membership before or at the dinner $30.00 versus in 2018.
There will be special 80/20 raffle with 80% going to participants and 20% going to the
FirstTee of Aiken!
