Energy flow popcorn lab

Figure 1
This is an example of energy flow through the ecosystem. The first bowl of popcorn is an
example of a producer,Producers get the most energy out of all the trophic levels.as energy
goes through the trophic levels energy is lost as a result the levels get less and less energy to
use. The second bowl of popcorn is a representation of primary consumer and gets 10% of
energy from the producer.the third tube represents secondary consumers and they get 10% of
energy from the primary consumer. The fourth tube represents a tertiary consumer and they get
10% from the secondary consumer.

Termite lab
Figure 1 This is an example of a mutualism relationship. This is a relationship that happens
inside of a Termites. Organisms found in the gut of the termites and the picture, break down
foods for energy.

Ecological succession school farm

Figure 1. This concrete is an example of bare rock. There is no population and this is a example
primary succession 17 years ago this concrete was here this is the first part of ecological
succession

Figure 2.lichen is starting to grow and there is a population of 39 lichen this is the second level
of ecological succession
Figure 3.
This is the third level of ecological succession grasses are starting to grow and there are still
some lichen there but there is starting to become less from for the from the grasses.

Figure 4
This is the fourth level of ecological succession and some fast growing trees are starting to grow
and the lichen population has gone down to almost none.

winogradski
Figure 2 this is a week to two after we first made it. Oxygen is found on top of the soil and
around the water but as you go down there is less oxygen. But the column is starting to stink
and film is starting to show at the top.

Figure 3 this is a week to two after we first made it bacteria is starting to form in the top part of
the soil meaning that they need more oxygen than if it was at the bottom of the soil. The color of
the soil is starting to turn a greenish color.

Carbohydrate testing

Figure 1 the first tube is just filled with water. The second tube is filled with water and
bendix.and the third is filled with water bendix and glucose. After we put everything is for the
third tub we put it in boiling water for 5 minutes. This test helped look for monosaccharides.
Iodine testing

Figure 2 the first tube is just filled with water . the second is filled with water and iodine 2 drops.
The third tube is filled with water iodine and starch 5 drops. These tubes are testing for
polysaccharides.

This is not my experiment this is jaden halls. We did a lab that had to do with yeast and
temperature. If we had a lot of live yeast then the sugar should have supplied it with energy and
allowed it to foam up just like bread does. Cell energy to chemical energy. CO2 bubbles.
The class looked at and labeled different plant and animal cells for a week and drew detailed
pictures of each groups of cells. The class was able to find nuclei on every group of
cells, meaning that the cells viewed were all eukaryotic.
Leaves were crushed, and the pigments were put on the paper. The paper was then put on
alcohol, which separate the pigments. Separate colors and movement.

Egg osmosis

This lab we had to put a egg into vinegar to see what would happen and the water would move
through the cell membrane and made the egg grew in mass. The h20 movement went from high
concentration to lower concentration . Cell membrane transport.
This is a picture of a planaria which we used for this experiment. This experiment, we are testing
the regeneration and stem cells of the planaria. The planaria was cut in half to see if the
planaria would grow another body. Not far after the second half of the planaria started to move
and had its own escape behavior and body contrations.
