PROJECT REPORT ON
STUDENT’s REPORT CARD
MANAGEMENT

SURENDRANATH CENTENARY SCHOOL

BY :- GUIDED BY :-
SANDEEP KUMAR MAHTO Mrs. SUBIR CHAKARBORTY
BOARD ROLL NO. -

1
ABSTRACT
Requirement definition and management is recognized as a necessary
step in the delivery of successful system and software project,
discipline is also required by standards, regulations and quality
improvement initiative. Creating and managing requirement is a
challenge of IT, systems and product development projects or indeed
for any activity where you have to manage a contractual relationship.
Organization need to effectively define and manage requirement to
ensure they are meeting needs of the customer, while proving
compliance and staying on the schedule and within budge. The impact
of a poorly expressed requirement can bring a business out of
compliance or even cause injury or death. Requirement definition and
management is an activity that can deliver a high, fast return on
investment.
The “STUDENT REPORT CARD MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” undertaken
as a project is based on relevant technologies. The main aim of this
project is to develop software for report card management system.
This project is to develop software for report card management
system. This project has been developed to carry out the processes
easily and quickly, which is not possible with the manuals systems,
which are overcome by this software. This project is developed using
C/C++ language and executed in Microsoft visual C++ with Ms- Access
as a backend. Hence it provides the complete solution for the current
management system.

MANAGEMENT

7
INTRODUCTION

 The name of my project is “Student Report Card

Management”. In this project we can:
 Create Students Records.
 Display All Students Records.
 Display Individual Records.
 Delete Individual Records.
 Search Student Records.
 Modify Students Records.
 Display Whole Class Records.
 The project contains different header files, built-in
functions, user- defined functions, structures, switch
statements, if-else-if loops.

8
OBJECTIVE
 To display record of individual student.
 To search student record.
 To search whole class records.
 To delete a specific record.
To find student’s report simply and easily

9
FEASIBILITY STUDY
The objective of feasibility study is to determine whether or not the
proposed system is feasible. The feasibility is determined in terms of
three aspects. These are:-
 Technical Feasibility

In this, one has to test whether the system can be

developed using existing technology or not. We have used C++ as
front end. It is evident that necessary hardware and software are
available for development and implementation of proposed system.
We acquire the technical knowledge of working in C++ language,
and then only we have stared designing our project.

 Economical Feasibility

As a part of this, the costs and benefits associated with the

proposed system are compared and the project is economically
e=feasible only if tangible and intangible benefits outweigh the
cost. The cost for proposed student’s report card management is
outweigh the cost and efforts involved in maintaining the
registers, files and generations of various report. The system also
reduces the administratrative and technical staff to do various
jobs that single software can do, So, this system is economically
feasible.

10
 Operational Feasibility

When it is found that the project is both economical and

technical feasible, the next step is to determine whether it is
operationally feasible or not. Will the system operate in a way
that user wants. Operational feasibility depends upon human
resources for the development and implementation of the system.
User involvement is more required.

LIMITAITIONS
 No database management of student records.
 online results declaration not included.
 No security check for data manipulation.
 no interactive interface.

27
FUTURE ENHANCEMENTS
 Online result declaration will be introduced so that people can
see records from anywhere.
 App may be provided by the institution.
 The data would be stored in multiple servers so that it can
handle several entries at the same time.
 It would be given a form of a web page for easier access to the
user.

28
CONCLUSIONS
This software has its advantages and disadvantages but it can
surely help with the record storage system. We don’t have to
worry about the misplacing of the record which is a great clash
while storing the records in separate files.
