Business Process Description Overview

Planning on Orders : Order is an object to Cost . For Control purpose, we can plan (Budgeting) on Orders
–Cost element-wise. This is done using this function.

Input-Required Fields Field Value /Comments

Version Planning Version.
From period Period from which you want to plan.
To period Period upto which you want to plan.
Fiscal year Financial year.
Order Name of the order.
To Name of the order.
Or group Name of the order group
Cost element Name of cost element.
To Name of the cost element.
Or group Name of the cost element group.

Output – Results Comments

You will get the message- Plan data changed. Please read the name of the message. If your entry is
incomplete, that will be shown as “message.”

Tips and Tricks:

If you give one Order and a cost element group, you can plan all cost element in that group one
by one for this Order in one step.

PROCEDURAL STEPS

1.1 Access transaction by :

Via Menus Accounting Controlling Orders

Planning Cost & Activity inputsChange.
Via Transaction Code KPF6

1.2. On the “Change Cost element/Activity input Planning : Initial Screen “, enter information in the fields as
specified in the below table :

Version R Enter 0 for planning.

From period Date R Enter the period from which you want to plan.
To period Date R Enter the period upto which you want to plan.
Fiscal year Year R Enter the Financial year
Order Code R Enter the Order name
To Code R Enter the Order name
Or group Gr. Code R Enter the Order group name
Cost element Code R Enter cost element name
To Code R Enter cost element name
or group Gr.code R Enter cost element group name

1.3. Press F5 or Overview Screen to advance to the next screen.

1.4. On the “Planning Cost elements/Activity inputs Change :overview Screen “, enter information in the fields as
specified in the below table :

Distribution key O Select the key from thepull down menu.

combination next combination/previous combination/other
combination.
Period screen O This is used to enter plan values-period wise if you
are planning for more than one month,manually.

1.5 Save the document by pressing Save or ‘Control+S icon.
