The NanoVibronix PainShield system is a comprehensive low frequency, low intensity
ultrasound based solution for localized pain, soft tissue regeneration, wound and bone
healing. PainShield provides relief of musculoskeletal and soft tissue pain as well as
targeted therapy for tendon, ligament or muscle injuries. PainShield expedites healing of
ulcers from diabetic or ischemic origin. It utilizes surface acoustic therapy which is effective
in treating a wide skin surface around the application site.

The PainShield system is comprised of a battery powered

device that connects to a disposable patch through which it
delivers energy thereby creating its therapeutic effect for focal
pain and tissue healing.

There is growing interest in the use of medical devices for pain

management due to increased reports of complications
related to NSAIDs and other pain medications. Conventional
ultrasound treatment requires large stationary devices and
application by a therapist. This requirement for a clinical
setting limits access to therapy, reduces patient’s compliance
and increases cost thereby decreasing the overall efficacy of conventional ultrasound therapy.

The PainShield addresses all of these limitations. The portable patch-based system may be used for
