in her embezzlement
case.
Angela Clark, 35, of
Hersey, agreed to enter a
plea agreement with the
Osceola County Prosecu-
tor’s Office on Dec. 8.
Clark entered a plea of
no contest to one count
of embezzlement by a
public official of over
$50. The felony charge
carries a sentence of
10 years in prison and/
or a fine of $5,000. For
agreeing to the plea, the
county will dismiss one
charge of diverting tax
money, which carried a
sentence of five years
and/or a fine of $1,000.

Marjorie was born

Bend, Indiana, to
Grove Orman and Es-
tella M. (Augustine)
Taylor. She was mar-
ried September 4, 1933,
in Mason County, to
Cecil R. Cole, who pre-
ceded her in death
May 11, 1984. Mrs. Cole
was a member of the
Business Professional
Women’s Club in Reed
City and Big Rapids.
She was a Hersey resi-
dent for 45 years and
enjoyed her flowers,
her yard, and bowling.

call to check on a person
that appeared to be intoxi-
cated and was last seen
face down in the snow. The
responding officers arrived
to find the man had left the
scene without taking his
personal items, including
his whiskey.
• Officers were dis-
patched to respond to a
road run-off accident. The
47-year-old female driver
stated that due to the snow
and rain mix, her vehicle
injuries were reported by
her or her passenger. A tow
truck was called to pull the
vehicle out of the ditch and
officers cleared.
• Officers arrested a
26-year-old male for proba-
tion violations. The man
was found to be intoxi-
cated, carrying concealed
weapons and resisting ar-
rest. He was transported
to the Osceola County Jail
where he was lodged with-
out incident.

Scusa likes to paint but doesn’t

“I’m glad I’m giving them the
love of art and another way to
relax and reduce stress,” she

Scusa also loves to be a positive
force in the community, even if
it’s just buying someone coffee
